Stopped in today during my travels and picked up a couple cigars to go. Didn't carry my cigar brand Nub or Cain but they had a decent selection. Service was ok but no one asked if I needed help or assist in finding my cigars. Ambiance cool. Full Bar and smoke inside. Next time, I will hang out a while and enjoy a smoke. Pretty cool place. La Aroma De Cuba an excellent cigar and super fresh at Jake's

Always here and never disappointed. Good beer and environment. If you want a true Benson experience you'll have to give it a shot. I can't say how many times I've came here to unwind. Almost a meditation on other places in the area that have been ruined by popularity and the tragedy of what the madness of people flocking to the next big thing. I talked to some local/lifers of Omaha that have seen the rise and fall of good bars like this. Come to support and experience some of the best people watching imagined. Cheers to Jake's, Waiting Room, Reverb, and the Fullhouse Karaoke down the road! Still living the dream! Cheers

Jake's is an interesting little spot in Benson, with a cigar/convenience shop at the front and a lounge-type bar at the back. I don't smoke, but have a few friends who do, and they have noted that Jake's has a good selection of cigars and cigarettes, with a lot of variety for each. Now I CAN speak for the bar in the back, as I usually head straight back there. Ambiance-wise, it's a little darker at times than I would like. There is a long curved bar, with comfy leather hightop chairs all along it. If you have a small group, they also have a few booths along one side of the bar. If your group is much larger, there is a little area at the back that is basically one giant booth all around that wall. The staff is great and always tries to find me what drink I'm looking for based on what I'm craving in taste and body, etc. They have a good selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles/cans. So always ask if you're trying to find a certain thing - they may have it! The wall behind the bar also has a million bottles of every liquor you can think of, so whatever mixed drink you may want, I'm sure they can concoct for you too. They also have an outdoor patio, but it can get a little smoky at times, as that is where everyone goes to smoke now that the half indoor/half outdoor little smoking room they used to have is no longer. Jake's is (very) slightly off the beaten path of the main drag of Benson, but it's definitely a good spot to have a few drinks if you're wanting to spend some time there!

Went here with my team to relax and enjoy a stick and drinks. They had a good selection of cigars and spirits. We ordered a round of drinks and was pleasantly surprised by the cost was really good. We're from DC, MD, VA so it's a really big price difference. Chill atmosphere and other patrons were laid back as well. Great bar tender, definitely will come back!

I don't know... Jake's Cigar used to rival Safari Cigar and Lounge. Since 2019, things have not been the same. I used to love this place.

I've been to Jake's many times and it has been one of my favorite places for years. I was here for Pride First Friday and the bartender that was servicing me was obliterated and seemed annoyed when I asked for a drink after he was chatting people up for a good 10 minutes nearing last call. It's disappointing because I've always had good service here and atmosphere, but tonight felt off. I'll be back but likely not as often, extremely sad for this. Check on your bartenders.

I've been going to Jake's for years. Not sure who these new bartenders are but I no longer recommend them. Consistently mischarged with messed up tabs. 49.50 for 8 drinks that should be $5 each. Last time I challenged our total some girl who's been bartending for a couple months argued with us and walked off. Seriously admitted our drinks were 5 bucks each then argued the total (at the time it was like she charged us for doubles on single shot mixed drinks even the other bartender working couldn't figure it out). This time same bartender and same problem. My tab ends up higher than it should be. 8 drinks at $5 each should be $40. Challenging this total with my bank and moving on until this establishment learns they need to train staff correctly. Sad because they've been my go to spot since around 2017. Since covid they haven't managed to rehire decent staff. Moving on finally.

I live in the neighborhood and stopped by the retail shop for craft beer for what I hoped would be the first of many visits. One 4pack, and one single stout. I got home, opened the single bottle and realized it was rotten. Expired in November 2022. Came back and they exchanged it. Cool. Next can also rotten. Checked the 4 pack at this point. All expired. Came back with everything, brought the emptied can (down the sink) so they could smell the vinegar I had purchased. They then refused to exchange it and would only refund the 4 pack I brought back. I was spoken down to and told not to come back if I "think" they're serving rotten beer. Terrible service.

First time stopping in, great place to stop for a smoke and drink. Bar staff were knowledgeable and had great attitude and communication. Cigar selection was moderate but with great options.

Service was ok. The suggestion on a cigar was good, will buy more. However the problem is the separation between the Smokers... there's is a small section for the smokers to hang out in. Without a bartender in this area... yes the have a great selection of whiskeys, some I have never ever dreamed of trying before..But the absolute separation of the smoking and non smoking.... this is not a real cigar lounge. This is lounge that has a cigar section... so while I can hear the people talking it up and it getting it along in the other section... I am here by myself watching YouTube vids
