This place is 350 feet from my house, and it's taken over a year for me to experience. Shame on me! This place is great.Located in the basement of a former residential hotel-turned-apartments, this place is actually a re-creation of the original Red Lion, a jazz club located in the same place.The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, the staff warm and knowledgeable, without the least bit of pretense, which is increasingly rare in Blackstone. Framed photos of famous jazz musicians line the walls, as do high-backed, semi- circular booths, reminiscent of old- school Hollywood haunts. The prices are reasonable, too. You must experience this. It is truly unique.
