We love hoppy taco! My husband and I usually sit at the bar to watch sporting events, enjoy tacos and margaritas. I always get the barbacoa tacos and my husband gets the beef, carnitas and barbacoa. Great place in the heart of Dundee

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. The first time coming here I ordered online and the order wasn’t noticed by the staff. However, when the food was given it was good enough for a second trip. BUT the second trip resulted in two of the worst margaritas my wife and I have ever had, a 30 minute visit where we never got an opportunity to place a food order, and realizing that the “in house” menu was extremely limited to only about 5 options. The disappointing part is that I’m not a reviewer at all and don’t complain about service unless it’s truly terrible. There were four tables during our visit- two with kids. Both families paid cash and left after waiting for over 15 minutes to get a tab.

Hoppy Taco in Deer Creek is horrible. Total waste of money. Only people in bar and cheese not melted on nachos and whatever the cheese sauce was on the top of them was glue. Combo plate had a burned taco and cold beans and rice but the plate was hot like it was microwaved. Beer tasted of whatever they cleaned the glass with. Waitress was nice but had no idea about specials or happy hour. Tried to reach out to a manager 4 times but no returned call. Guess they aren't concerned as this is the 3rd new restaurant in this location in a couple years that doesn't look like it's gonna make it. Go to Pims next door for great food!

I called to place an order. And the person working behind the counter was quite rude. And when I got there he was a complete asshole to me! If you don't like your job buddy find another one you don't have to work with people! I will never be coming back to this restaurant! He needs fired!

We moved to the Dundee area in early 2022 and have been frequent customers at Hoppy Taco ever since. We’ve always enjoyed their drinks and food. I’m not sure if they have recently transitioned to new ownership or management, but we were extremely disappointed with our recent experience. The margaritas we ordered tasted like syrup and soda water. When we inquired about the different recipe, the manager on staff simply said, “well, we switched to a pre-mixed recipe,” and gave no alternative solution. It’s unfortunate that this location has lost sight of taking care of their regulars. We’ll start frequenting the other establishments in the Dundee Historic District who understand the importance of the customers who live in their neighborhood.

We LOVE the Hoppy Taco. Whether it's tacos, taco salad, rice bowl, or just drinks- we also appreciate the service and quick turn around of foods and drinks. There is something about being able to walk from your house to here that makes me happy especially when getting tacos- my fav. The quality of the food is consistent and the staff are quick. The restaurant is generally pretty busy but don't let it deter you!

Great place for street tacos, tacos, giant burritos or enchiladas. Super convenient Mexican food in Dundee. Small place with a small kitchen and big tasty food. Street tacos have lots of options for proteins. They also have very fresh guacamole. Chips (flour & corn) are fresh made, fresh fried and salted, delivered warm. Yum. Service is very good and the people that work here are friendly & nice. They have a good selection of beer and looked like a good select of tequila, too. They also have several TV's if you get tired of tasting tequila. We had a lot of chips & guacamole, a big taco salad with a lot of meat, cheese and a couple of chicken enchiladas with a lot of meat swimming in your choice of red or green sauce. Red sauce was very good, smooth and not too spicy. Lunch for two with drinks and a 20% tip was about $40. Good deal for a great lunch. We'll go back soon. Go to Dundee, grab a good tequila, get chips & guacamole or chips & queso and show up for their street tacos!
