Visited the Bellevue location for the first time this past Saturday. I had visited the old 72nd street location years ago. Both times I've definitely been unsatisfied. First visit I thought the cake slices were very dry and the flavor was off. I stopped in Saturday as I was in the area and thought I'd give them another chance, as my last experience was years ago. I was hopeful for a better experience when I walked in and it smelled great inside, but I was highly disappointed once again. I bought a 6 pack of cupcakes (3 different flavors) and a pecan roll. All 6 cupcakes were very dry, the frosting had an off taste - like the taste when they're in a fridge with other foods and absorbed those flavors, and the frosting was also crusted and crystallized. None of the cases are labeled, nor are there prices listed, so I had to ask the girl behind the counter what each thing was and what the pricing was. My boyfriend took once bite of the pecan roll and threw it out - it was hard and dry as well. The "Best of" signage is definitely misleading and I will not purchase another thing from The Omaha Bakery. For the high pricing, I'd expect much better quality products. Definitely do not recommend.

I just got a cake from here the other day with a birthday party that was sprung up and just two days , of course I got an already made cake and champagne cake. It was so delicious. Best cake ! Everyone loved it !Thank you!

Disappointed to find out that they did not have oatmeal raisin cookies available. The owner told me to call ahead next time to check. Really? A bakery that has allowed themselves to run out of product? This is mismanagement 101 and the business suffers along with customers. Take care of your customers or they will migrate to another bakery!

Stopped in for a birthday cake. They had a great selection on hand and a deal I couldn't refuse. I walked out with 2 cakes and cinnamon rolls for breakfast.Cakes didn't last long. Rolls light and fluffy.

Absolutely loved this place! There wasn’t many customers in there so I was helped almost immediately. The workers were very sweet and accommodating for my dietary restrictions then showed me the different options I could get that day. I needed a cake so they were happy to offer me a keto chocolate cake right away. I expected the cake to be a bit expensive due to the restrictions but it as soon as I tasted it, the cake was absolutely tasty and worth it. From what I tasted they work hard to make their cakes amazing and their customers coming back. Also I would like to mention they do a military discount as well so if you’re a military member and need tasty desserts and creations please come HERE!Dietary restrictions: Keto; low sugar, low carbs

Okay first of all, this bakery is SO lovely & nostalgic of a time past. It is well lit & clearly decorated in an elegant & classic way - everything is displayed beautifully & organized. Love that.I was in Omaha as I am every few weeks or so & happens to be kiddos birthday, I have a gluten allergy & I don’t eat sugar (usually, keto, so maybe a handful of times a year) & I just searched up “gluten free bakery” hoping I could find something so I could eat a cupcake with my kiddo or something, he really loves when I can actually enjoy something with him. This place did not disappoint. I ended up getting a beautifully decorated small (non gluten free) German chocolate cake for kiddo & then some gorgeous & shockingly gluten free desserts for myself. I got a mix of everything gluten free, brownies, an incredibly divine raspberry cheesecake like bar (great portions too!) & then some keto ones to try in a couple days post todays sugar binge LOL. I turned around & saw they have all sorts of keto baked stuff to buy packaged & ready to go - like keto baked goods & bread!! I’ll try that one day too ; it’s scary a lot of the ones in stores that claim keto are not gluten free, so I have never more than thought about it, so I’m pretty excited about that option too.But let me just talk about these desserts again - I’m not a huge chocolate person, but there was some chocolate peanut butter brownie like options & PB is my thing. There was one that had PB drizzle & PB cup pieces on top calling to me… even though I am weary of items really decorated because sometimes that’s all the have going for them… but not this one. OMG - easily the best brownie I’ve ever had & I wasn’t always gluten free. Like what is the magic?!? I shared with my non gluten free son & he got wide eyed & lit up, it was legit! No regrets. Worth the sugar ?I have tried a small bite (or more) of all the GF items & even as a novice/prior semi professional baker, I have officially sworn off gluten free & keto baking for myself ?Those ingredients are expensive & they almost always slightly disappoint enough to not revise & try again - so I will absolutely happily drive 90 miles to this place should I decide I want cheesecake or a brownie. No joke. I will be a regular when I come to town for other business & I love that I can do this whether I am eating sugar or not! I plan to order myself a cheesecake (& maybe brownies?) for my birthday!The staff were super accommodating in explaining the gluten free & keto options, made incredible recommendations & it was so nice to see someone so excited & passionate about their craft. I have ordered 2 Keto cakes for both Thanksgiving & Christmas: the New York Cheesecake & the Red Velvet Cheesecake. Both were fabulous. The keto choices here avoid white sugar & white flour. The sugar substitute is natural & will not affect blood sugar. Almond flouror coconut flour are in place of white flour.You will not notice any chemical taste; quite the obvious.
