Have never made a review before but had to login to make one for this establishment because if it happened to me I’m sure it has happened to others. They ILLEGALLY added a $5 tip to my bill after paying with my debit card. Went out Saturday night and bought two drinks that came to a total of $13 and I paid with my debit card and left no tip. Monday morning I check my bank account statement and I was charged $18 at The Tavern. It is quite unfortunate that an establishment I’ve liked ended up doing something ILLEGAL. I had never seen this bartender there before, if I was management I’d strongly reconsider who was just hired before this kind of behavior begins to become common and the doors to The Tavern are closed permanently.
