This place is a two decade, staple for my wife and I. Although we haven’t lived in Omaha for over eight years, we return and enjoy this place whenever possible. Last night we had another incredible and memorable meal here with great service in the low light, low ceiling, Intimate atmosphere of this nooked-in French-influenced restaurant. Every portion of our meal was amazing, and it may seem unfair to say, but although we spent quite a bit of money on this meal, the six dollar bread service might’ve been the best part of the whole thing. The goat, fat, infused, perfectly crusted and warm bread withsalted butter would push me right into a diabetic coma if it was more relatively available. The Wagyu beef with their famous brandy peppercorn sauce remains one of the best steaks for my pallet anywhere in the country. We will continue to return.

We both ordered the tasting menu and accompanying wines. Each course and the wines were excellent. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the selected wines and the meal was perfectly matched. Both of us are celiac and need to eat gluten free and the kitchen was more than able to accommodate us. Thank you to the kitchen! We are new to the Omaha area and we will definitely be coming back frequently.

My wife and I partook in the Chef's tasting menu accompanied with the wine pairing and it was fabulous. The dishes were expertly crafted and the wine pairings were masterful. Our waitress was knowledgable, energetic and prompt. It was the perfect spot for a romantic meal.

VERY good food. Best stake I've had since the last time I ate at V Mertz. I love the lighting, ambiance, and service at V Mertz and will continue to go there. They also made it extra special by printing custom menus for our birthdays. I highly recommend V Mertz to anyone who wants to have a fantastic dining experience.

Excellent presentation and preparation of food. Our sommelier was fanstatic. I had a dinner/ wine tasting menu and was impressed with pairings! My date enjoyed his entree. Dessert waswonderful and enjoyed luscious petit fours as a grand finally. Would highly recommend.

I did 5/5 on everything because honestly it all deserves it! My husband and I went for our belated Valentines dinner. We were there earlier for our reservation so we sat at the bar for a drink, our bartender Elizabeth was great! She was knowledgeable about drinks and our old fashions tasted great! We were seated in Alex section and he did not disappoint! He was kind, funny, and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible, every bite of it was perfection from the appetizer to the dessert. We will definitely be back!

Upscale restaurant in historic old market area featuring small plates and larger plates. We shared a beet salad, grilled octopus, pork loin, sticky toffee pudding, and flourless chocolate torte. Wow! Each was delicious and beautifully plated. Service was knowledgeable and impeccable. Reservations are definitely recommended and the directions from Google maps is confusing as this is below ground level in an enclave of art galleries and shops in a nicely restored brick factory building.

We love coming here for any and all special occasions and are never disappointed in the food and ambiance! Our server did feel a little rushed and tended not to stay at our table for too long this time around, in the past however we've had AMAZING servers who lead us on a tour for our meal! Could have been due to the business that night. Will be coming back again! :)
