Server was great. She was on top of everything and friendly. Hot food was not hot at all but sausage had good flavor. Potato salad was good. My portion of brisket was all fat.

Got the brisket. You’d think a bbq place could do brisket but this was poorly done;flavorless and so dry it was inedible. It was served shredded. We were very disappointed The slaw wasn’t any better. The beans were good, but it was the only thing that was. The food was ordered from Papio Pit to go- we weren’t in the lounge.

We placed a large order for our family over the phone and it was ready in 20 minutes! Incredibly impressed with the fast turnaround. Always a huge plus. The best part about this place is not only is it close to my house, but it's DELICIOUS. Let me preface this with saying I'm not a bbq fan. I would never say yay let's go for bbq. I had to change my ways after this place! We got every meat they offer and every single one was perfection. If you have a hankering for bbq and you're in the Papillion area, you have to go here!

We had a pretty disappointing visit. This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. The food was the most disappointing aspect. Almost everything seemed to be week-old leftovers. We ordered the pulled pork nachos, brisket, ribs, spicy sausage, mac n cheese, slaw, potato salad, and cornbread. The nachos were okay, but only about 7 chips were nachos, the rest were just off-brand bagged tortilla chips like you'd find in the grocery. The nachos were supposed to be pulled pork, but I only found a few small peices. The brisket came chopped, and I thought that was weird. Standard is sliced, with an option to chop. Chopped is the standard here, I guess. If I had known that, I would have ordered something else. The brisket wasn't good. It was extremely dry. The is the only BBQ joint where I left with brisket still on my plate. The ribs were a little dry, and lacking in the flavor department. The sausage was absolutely awful. It was dry, shriveled, hard, and aslo lacking flavor. If you told me it sat out for a week or two, I'd believe it. The mac n cheese also seemed old. Parts of the macaroni were crunchy. The cheese was on the verge of hardening, and also lacking flavor. The cornbread was okay, the slaw was weird, and I didn't touch the potato salad do to the mass disappointment. Service was not good. The bartender was serving the entire restaurant, and she just couldn't keep up. We ordered drinks, and nachos while we decided on the rest of the meal. About 10 minutes later, someone from the kitchen brought out the nachos, but still no drinks. We finished the appetizer without seeing the bartender. About 10 minutes later, she made her rounds. Took a while to get to us, because it seemed everyone was in need of her attention. She refilled the drinks of the table next to us, so I assumed she would notice we still didn't have our drinks. I assumed wrong. We ordered, and our food came out within 5 minutes. Not abnormal for a BBQ joint, but none of the food was warm. It was the same kitchen guy that brought the food, so we asked him for our drinks. He obliged. It was a good thing, because the food was hard to choke down without lots of liquid. The cleanliness was okay, no complaints there. The atmosphere was unique. It was Wednesday, and they have live music starting at 6pm. They started to play some blues right as we got our main course. First, there was a guitarist and bass, and a couple songs in, a harmonica guy jumped it. I feel bad saying this, but I feel it's important to share my full experience. The bass player was good, but they didn't harmonize well together. At times, it was like they were all 3 playing different songs at the same time. The guitarist would miss notes, play strange keys, and his timing was nonexistent. His singing matched that of late night karaoke at a dive bar. Needless to say, we were ready to get out of this place. The value was not good. They are charging the same prices as other restaurants, but are operating nowhere near that level. I can't say I'll give it a second chance.

We stopped by on a Sunday around 4:30. Ordered brisket, chips, and beans. It was very good. Honemade chips are always a favorite in our family. We would return.

This place used to be really good when it first opened but it’s gone downhill since then. Prices have increased, portions have gone down, service has gone down, and the quality/taste has gone down. Tonight we ordered double brisket and were given pulled pork. The pulled pork was pretty sub-par. Not sure what’s happened but I would definitely recommend a place like Swine Dining or Hog Wild before going to papio pit

The meat was so dried out. I threw away the chicken. The ribs were doeble for the first day. Don't recommend reheating the next day. The potato salad and the Mac and cheese were good

Nice place to watch a game, & hangout! The brisket sandwich was good...but they covered it with cheese & BBQ sauce, so I couldn't taste the meat! The atmosphere was very cool, & our waitress was awesome! I live in KC area....so I eat a ton of BBQ! I'd recommend a larger amount of mac & cheese! The portion size for that, was wayyy too small!

Definitely a good spot for some que. Nothing really special just a solid place to eat that isn't a chain. Portion size on their sides could be be bigger and its baffling they don't offer french fries for a barbecue restaurant. Creeper was a very spicy sausage with sweet onions and jalapenos. Like I said it's a solid spot with a friendly staff, so you could do worse.

Worst bbq I’ve ever had in my life the ribs are fatty and un edible the brisket was tasteless and the baked beans tasted just like bush baked beans right off the shelf at walemart

Good staff. Ordered the brisket and pork. Both were tasty. Brisket came shredded vs whole and had a couple fatty bits. Overall good food! The chips are made in-house which took a little longer but they were worth it.Would recommend and will be back.

Saturday night, Creighton Blue Jays basketball plays at 7:30. All they had for food was six plates left of pork and limited appetizers. They were out of everything else by 7pm. A handful of patrons came in and left because of few options for food. Dead silent in there until a couple comes in and plays explicit music with children present. Ate my cold pork sandwich and left. Huge loss of revenue that could have easily been avoided.

Excellent food and service in a welcoming, family atmosphere. Locally owned. A fantastic addition to the community. Something for everyone.

Ordered through DoorDash. Our order was canceled after 30 minutes. I called Papio Pit and they said said they don't do door dash. They went on to say if we want an order we need to talk to them. Guy was really rude. Before I could answer he hung up on me. They obviously don't need my business today or in the future. Can't believe they waited 30 minutes.
