We've been here several times and each time the food goes down hill. This time I got the bimbop? And the meat was burnt. I pointed it out to the server and he apologized and asked if I wanted something else. I should have said yes, but I just told him to let the chef know. Then when we get home my wife was complaining about her steak. She ate about a quarter of it. Steak was very greasy. And the other young lady with us got some kind of steak and had the same complaint. We've given this place several chances. I believe we are done now.

Everything was phenomenal from the appetizer to the main course, and our service was impeccable. Very attentive staff. The restaurant was super clean and I really enjoyed everything. We will definitely be going back!

The food was excellent, except a couple of our salads were missing some ingredients as mentioned on the menu. Service was adequate, sometimes slow. Our waiter checked on us throughout the meal. We'll be back.

Went here for date night with the wife and so glad we did. I remember when the place was a sushi restaurant, and upon walking in, the transformation of the space was pretty amazing. To me it has a trendy but rustic look.It was pretty busy when we went, which was a Saturday night, but luckily we made reservations. I think that's probably the way to go since this seems like a popular spot. The staff was welcoming, and our server was attentive and informative, given this was our first time visiting.I ended up ordering the fried chicken, the wife got the bibimbap. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts/cauliflower in Thai chili sauce appetizer which was super yum!The wife really liked her dish. Tasting it myself, I thought it was very good as well.My fried chicken was good, but it was borderline overdone. The crust was a dark brown vs golden brown, and retained a bit more grease than I would have liked. And, the meat was right on the line of being overcooked. BUT... luckily it wasn't, though it was close. Overall, my dish was tasty and the accompanying risotto and carrot puree were delicious.I would definitely recommend stopping in if you haven't already.

Charming place with ingratiating staff. Hip but not off-putting. The riff on mulligatawny is distinctive and good. Brickway martini (very wet) was made well. The halibut dish had splendid flavors but the fish itself was criminally overcooked. Server Rae applied the employee discount to compensate for my disappointment. I made sure to leave a tip based on the full price. Not the best introduction, but I plan to come back: hospitable treatment of a single diner is not a given in the restaurant world.

Glad I tried this place. Had the burger which was amazing, homemade ketchup was really good with fries, sweetend with honey and not sugar gave it a nice sweet umami taste. Wife had the Pier 38 ahi bowl, reminded us of Hawaii on pier 38 there was a seafood place called Nico's that had the best fresh seafood.

Very good food and lots of gluten free options. They also do all day happy hour one Sundays which is great. A wonderful addition to the Papillion food scene.

Our first time at Pine and Black. We have very fast service, the food was delicious, and so was the Maui Mule. For the appetizer, we got the GOAT. Which is a must try. My husband got the Pacific fish and chips and I got the salmon+shrimp+greens (both entrees pictured). The dressing for my entree was mild-medium spicy, which I liked.

This was our 2nd visit The food has always been consistently good. One of my party wanted diet coke and Bacardi. Waitress indicated they didn't carry either one of those and offered a substitution using stevia with their dark rum which wasn't liked by the patron when they agreed to drink that instead. Another person in the party asked for steak sauce for their meal and was told no sauces are carried at the restaurant. This is a fairly new restaurant so maybe there will be some changes to better accommodate Patron request

My boyfriend took us here for Valentines this year, I had never heard of it but been to Twisted Cork. IT WAS AMAZING! The best food we’ve both had in a very long time. I got the special Valentines 3 coarse menu and it was incredible. I usually get pretty full after the appetizers, however the portion sizes and lightness of each dish was perfect, I finished every bite. My boyfriend got the Sea Bass and Scallops. He also thought it was absolutely amazing. The sea bass was incredibly fresh tasting and cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque i had was the BEST i’ve ever had in town, and the dessert was absolutely amazing and exciting (they made it one time on master chef lol) We had the poached pear, I wasn’t thinking much honestly but once again, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I didn’t get my waitresses name, but she has a darker caramel colored hair with glasses. She was lovely! In both of our opinions, if they turned off the extra bright lights and kept the low hanging lights on with the candles, it would be absolutely perfect. Thank you to all the staff for making our Valentine’s day unforgettable.

Food was fairly mediocre. Not much flavor and things were not cooked very well. One person in our party order steak and fries. They were "out of" fries and the steak was so rare it was purple. We substituted asparagus for the missing fries. We each got 3 scrawny stalks of asparagus that were well cooked but without any seasoning or flavor. About 15 minutes later, the table next to us got a burger, with fries... I really wanted to like this place because there are not a lot of spots like this in Papillion, but it was pretty underwhelming. The atmosphere was nice and service was good, just not a great dining experience due to food quality. Mixed drinks were pretty dull and not the quality I would expect at this type of establishment. Would probably not go back.

We visited for the first time on Valentines Day and were surprised that it wasn't at all busy. It was a good dinner and a nice ambiance. Our waiter was attentive without hovering. Will go again.

I've been about 4 times. I keep wanting to like this place. On paper the menu sounds amazing. The same owners have Twisted Cork, which is a definite top 10 spot in Omaha. Not sure why they keep missing. I see other good reviews, but every time I have had mediocre service and mediocre food. The presentation is always very nice and the decor of the restaurant is done well. I know it can take a while for restaurants to work out the kinks and I'm hoping that's the case here.

Oh we will be back! Delicious!! Definitely get the GOAT appetizer- it’s goat cheese, cauliflower bread and strawberries. Not a mix I’d think I’d like but we loved it! The steak on everything was perfect. Dreaming of our next visit! It is a little pricey.
