This is the best cafe within many many miles in my opinion. I do not yet live in Winnebago yet however I travel here no problem for my caramel iced coffee and chicken salad sandwich. They’re the best by far and the staff is amazing. Can’t wait to move here and eat here daily.

The Sweetwater Branch Inn was a wonderful place to stay in Gainesville, FL! The staff was so friendly and helpful. There was a reservation mixup (our fault) so they were very accommodating about finding us another cottage. We stayed at Windsor Cottage, which was a lovely 1 bedroom full kitchen cottage. The breakfasts were excellent with homemade frittatas, breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit and coffee cakes. Their talented chef made something different every day. You can enjoy your coffee and breakfast on a lovely enclosed porch. A 'welcome' notebook in our cottage provided information about the Inn as well as a list of restaurants in the area. A word of warning about driving in Gainesville - there are streets, avenues, places and terraces and it is very confusing even with a GPS! We really enjoyed our stay at the Sweetwater Branch Inn and we highly recommend it if you find yourself in Gainesville.

What a gem hidden in Central Gainesville! Beautiful Victorian homes and cottages nestled in gorgeous grounds. We stayed in the Honeymoon cottage, which was adorable and very clean. I can't believe that anyone would pick a chain hotel over Sweetwater Branch Inn, which is clearly a well maintained labor of love. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a huge variety of home cooked options. So glad we found this place--now we're looking for reasons to go back to Gainesville so we can stay there again. How often does THAT happen when you travel!?

The property and pool area is outstanding. The gardens are wonderful this time of year. Room which was the Honeymoon cottage. Well appointed and very clean, central located in the middle of gardens. Christina, sorry if I spelled incorrectly! Front desk was OUTSTANDING she anticipated our questions and answered all our concerns. She is a true assist to this B&B. Would recommend to family and friemds!

Beautiful, large property in quiet and picturesque part of Gainesville. Well appointed cottage, comfortable bed. We had an excellent breakfast in attractive glassed in porch of lovely old building. Delicious home made pastries and cakes and hot dishes. Lovely, well maintained gardens and plants with fish pond. Outdoor pool a treat after a long drive.

My stay at Sweetwater Branch Inn was beyond amazing, even before checking in on 03/25/2023! While driving to find the main entrance to check in, I was informed by Housekeeping Staff Tara where to park in order to go to the Front Desk. Tara demonstrated true Southern charm and courtesy, whom upon my leaving my room the next day asked about my pets and how I liked my stay. This is proof of caring for the patrons and the essence of true hospitality. Through no fault of Tara's, I still was unable to find the Front Desk and called the main phone number. Front Desk Agent Christine answered the call and demonstrating AMAZING customer service by staying with me on the phone and literally guiding me to the Front Desk and confirming the color of my car though I was still on University Avenue! The entire property is very well maintained, the gardens beautifully manicured, my room - Hawthorne - impeccably immaculate. As a previous Director of Housekeeping, I was beyond impressed. My breakfast experience was wonderful, the staff was courteous and polite, the selections of delicious breakfast items were very assorted. The property gives a spirit of peacefulness, relaxation and familiarity. I will definitely return here if I find myself in the area and very highly recommend these accommodations to anyone visiting the Gainesville area.

I absolutely love coffee, particularly lattes. It’s just that comforting little slowdown or break amidst life’s chaos. With that - I really enjoy small business & locally owned places. I avoid chain coffee (& other) places for the most part so when this came up in my google map search nearby I was excited to check it out. I finally stopped in today & so glad I did. This really may be the best SF vanilla breve latte I’ve had since moving back to the Midwest 3 years ago. That’s saying a lot, I drink a lot of them lol. The environment is great; the inside is beautifully, tastefully decorated with a modern yet chill vibe & just has a great feel too. Seems like it would be a great place to catch up on work over lunch/coffee or study break with couches & comfortable seating as well as standard cafe style dining. The ladies working were polite, Service was quick, prices are great, & I will be back!Parking: Free, Well marked, Diagonal parking to pull in & back out with ease.Dietary restrictions: Sugar free options for coffee! Also have breve/ half & half (a must for me so hope this helps someone else similar). Great solid option for anyone low-carb/keto/diabetic etc.Looked like there were many dairy & non dairy options alike.

What an amazing property with amazing cottages that really plus the experience of visiting Gainesville. We stayed in Mae’s cottage and spent a lot of time hanging out at the pool late at night and catching up on old memories with friends. The rocking chairs on the front porch were really enjoyable!7

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is charming and well kept. There was a small wedding during our stay but the guests were well-behaved and it did not affect our stay in any way. We loved sitting on the porch of the McKenzie house, and the very convenient parking. Breakfast is a buffet and quite good with lots of choices. It’s always a privilege to stay in an historic home. We enjoyed the photos and plaques explaining the previous owners and history of the area. The location is right down the street from good restaurants. Check in was easy and courteous. The only caveat would be the lack of water pressure and the level of road noise we experienced in the Aurora room. That street looks quiet with a church across from it, but looks are deceiving. We thought surely it would quiet down in the wee hours , but it was a constant roar the entire night and sleep was very difficult. If you book at Sweetwater, take earbuds, or make sure your room does not face that busy street. Overall, thanks to the owner and her great team for beautifully maintaining this grand lady(ies) for the public to enjoy!

This B &B is everything you could hope for and more. The grounds are beautiful, easy walking distance to fun restaurants for lunch and dinner. Clean, convenient, amazing Victorian accommodations with a wonderful staff and breakfast. Be sure and bring your bathingsuit, fyi.

Beautiful, traditional B&B in Gainesville. Although many options are on property, we stayed in one of the first floor rooms in the pink Victorian house. It had everything we needed including a great breakfast of frittata, sausage, fruit and pastries. The grounds are tropical FL and relaxing too. Bonus - it's an 10 minute walk to the Bo Didley square and downtown restaurants. This is our second stay and we will be back!
