I'm sorry to report that the food did not meet my expectations. The menu was difficult to understand, and I had trouble deciding what to order. I opted for the beef and ginger pad Thai, but it was a total disappointment and not worth the $17 I spent. The dish had too many rice noodles, a few tough pieces of beef, and a half-scrambled egg, all drenched in a syrupy sauce with a faint taste of ginger. The only good thing was the complimentary egg roll. I had a hard time finishing my meal, due to a strong and off flavor. I suspect that the unpleasant taste might have been caused by unwashed pots and pans or the food being left out for too long. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this café.

This place was just what we were looking for! The food was excellent and light with no heavy greasy oil. The vegetables were super fresh, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. We wanted a place that was not an industrial food mill and not the typical chain restaurant experience. We found it! It was a quiet oasis during a school vacation week. The lighting was nice and not overpowering like many places are, and it felt like we stepped back in time to a period where food was considered an art. The atmosphere was great, and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend the Bangkok Cafe!!

Food was great. Service was a bit slow but less to do with the wait staff and more to do with the restaurant being really busy.

This place is delicious and authentic, especially in comparison to the surrounding Thai places. The staff there are so polite and charming and always leave you with the impression they truly appreciate you as a customer. I've eaten at the other Thai establishments in North Conway, and this is the best.

I don't write a review in general, and I hate to leave a bad review in particular. But I felt obliged to leave one for future customers and for the restaurant. We ordered Tom Yum with chicken, heavenly pork, and Pad Thai with shrimp, and everything was TOO sweet. Way beyond the typical level of sweetness in Thai food. Tom Yum had only few pieces of mushroom and chicken meats. It didn't taste like Thai food, and the chicken inside was very bland.

This place was absolutely great! The food was delicious. I got the panang curry and it was one of the best I’ve had. My husband got drunken noodles and said they were excellent as well. They make everything fresh which is a huge bonus for anyone with food sensitivities. For instance, I can’t have gluten, and many Thai sauces have soy sauce in them, which contains wheat. But because they make everything from scratch, John (who served us) said there was no problem making the dishes without it. In addition to the food being delicious and quick to come out, John was friendly, informative, and patient with indecision and questions. I highly recommend eating here and striking up a conversation with John. He’s a really cool guy.Dietary restrictions: All of the curries and most of the noodle dishes could be made gluten free!

Our cravings for good Thai food were completely satiated in Bangkok cafe. The vibe of the restaurant was very nice and laidback. We ordered soups (hot & sour and silver) and both of them tasted great. For the main course, we tried the green curry, mussamun curry (my favourite), spicy fried rice (the portion size for this is very large) and tofu miracles. Rice is served with all the curries but it wasn't enough so we ordered one more portion to share. The man at the counter serving us was very friendly and talkative. There are several vegetarian options available with tofu and veggies as choices. Loved this restaurant and highly recommend it.Vegetarian options: Most menu categories have vegetarian options with a choice of tofu and vegetables. If you mention to the waiter that you prefer all vegetarian food, they can even use vegetable oil and customise any dish without egg.
