“Love this place, we go here all the time and always bring friends and family at least once when they visit us. Tons of sandwich options, most of which can easily be made gluten free. They are knowledgeable about cross-contamination and even have a dedicated toaster for HOT gf sammies! While the gf bread is the same size whether your order a small or large, the large will be absolutely LOADED with fillings- well worth the large size upcharge. (For regular, non-gf breads there are a variety of sizes and options.) Quality roast beef is obviously the draw here, but please dont sleep on the other offerings. And everyone who works here is a peach, especially the owner.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free/celiac friendly“

“I’d like to give a shout out to the Flannel Tavern restaurant. Last night one of the people in our party ordered grilled chicken for their salad, and asked if the chicken could be grilled without any spices. The chef went above and beyond by making sure to grill her chicken separately on an uncontaminated portion of the grill to insure that it didn’t come in contact with any spices from other items. Not only was the chicken tender enough to cut with a fork, but she even served it to our table herself to let us know in person! Thank you for the excellent service! It didn’t go unnoticed!“

“Came in on valentine's day weekend after getting turned around at almost every other restaurant in the area - they got us in quickly and we were excited to see their special - 2 apps 2 salads 2 entrees and a dessert for $150. a steal. the food was awesome but the part that really stood out to us was the service. Our server Cara was spectacular. She genuinely went above and beyond even a she was serving many other tables. It is rare these days to feel that your server truly cares about your experience and that is exactly how she made us feel. She was friendly, helpful when we asked about other local restaurants for the rest of our trip and so very accommodating.“

“Came with my kids and the food and service were excellent. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops which were amazingly delicious. We had the Irish nachos which were yummy. I had the filet mignon which was one of the best that I’ve had. I’m looking forward to returning soon.“

“The Gilmanton Pub is a 33-seat restaurant that is three years old with a loyal following of patrons from Gilmanton and surrounding towns. Located in the center of the Gilmanton Historic District, "The Tavern" is an elegantly restored 14-room, 18th Century Colonial that served as an important way station for 18th Century travelers. Over the last month, the Pub has made awewsome changes in staff, menu, live music entertainment, and prices. For example, prices have undergone a significant reduction - nearly every food or beverage has been reduced from 12%-to-36%. Every appetizer, salad, dessert, and entrée has seen their prices lowered. The Lobster Ravioli is now $24, reduced from $35, a 34% reduction. Even pizzas have seen their prices cut. An 18-inch pizza is $11, down 15% from $13. Beverages have undergone similar cuts. A $14 glass of Dewars is now $9, a 36% drop. A "heavy pour" of J. Lohr Chardonnay is down from $13 to $9, a drop of 31%.The food is excellent and the atmosphere is quintessential old school New England. Check out the live music and the fire pit!“
