The food in this place does not agree with me for some reason. I typically don't have issues in most restaurants. However, every time I eat at this place, I get nauseous, feeling and have to make a mad dash to you know where. Also, for some reason they believe they have become a high-end restaurant and charge ridiculous prices. Case in point...today's specials are a turkey and salami sandwich for $17. $18 for a quesadilla. Chopped sirloin, a.k.a. a hamburger served with mushroom gravy potato and vegetable $20. Are you kidding me $20 for a hamburger! I know that prices have gone up and especially so in restaurants. However, these prices are excessive.

I usually get take out, but wife and I do enjoy dining on once in a while. Wife's favorite is the chicken tender plate while I love getting the specials. Also the prime rib when they have it is a great treat.

Great food, wonderful service! We stopped for dinner and loved the cozy ambiance of the dining room. the staff were amazing, very fast and very friendly. I had the special which was prime rib with garlic and shrimp, very reasonably priced, delicious, and perfectly cooked! My partner had the mixed grill and left nothing on the plate. We both highly recommended this restaurant!

1st time was phenomenal! Plenty of food for the cost and very impressive menu options. Plenty of daily specials to choose from as well. The worst part about eating there is trying to figure out just what to choose!!!
Sent my food back and waitress refused to take it off the bill. We were regular customers as this place is convenient for us, but never again. Bad food, poor service, and out $100. NEVER AGAIN, and I would recommend not going there.

Terrible Terrible experience. Waitress was borderline illiterate and very very rude. Sent our cold food back and not only did she NOT remove it from the bill but no alternate was offered. No manager came over. We used to like this restaurant but the quality has suffered severely. SAD.

I remember eating at this establishment when it was in Francestown, and as just a wee lad, the impression has lasted. They knew my grandfather, Richard (rest in peace), very well and will always be an important staple in my life, from going on Fridays with gram for some Fish n' Chips, to staying classic with some Tenders or a Grilly Cheese, a fantastic menu, different specials listed, and attentive staff as well as appetizing food, I love the memories I get to cherish of dining riverside at a classic American eatery like Putnams, you guys rock
