Scott the bartender provided excellent service. The steak tips melted in your mouth they were so tender. I could cut them with a butter knife. The fish n chips and burgers were delicious also. This was our first time there and we will definitely be

First time I was here, great food great service, the second time, the bar is full so I siit at a table, the waitress tells me there is a 45 minute wait, but I say all I want is a drink no food but still a 45 minute wait. No way, I will spend my money elsewhere, the place isn't even half full, middle of winter, you should be thankful for business, just a drink, 45 minutes, wow, why. If you are going to run a business, run a business, otherwise close, won't be back again.

I was unexpectedly impressed by this restaurant! My immediate first thought when we entered was the room looked a bit dated. That thought was quickly replaced with exceptional food, bevies and service. First, after a long drive, the Summer Time Tini hit just right! And since we were "by the Sea" we had to get some seafood. We had wonderful bowls of clam chowder (good size pieces of clams in it) and the bacon wrapped scallops which were IN-CRED-IBLE!!! We all had entrees off the specials menu for dinner (I had another scallop dish that was out of this world!) and they all made us feel like we were in a world class, michelin star restaurant! Our server made sure our every need was met and we didn't feel rushed at all - even having a table by the window so we could watch the ocean while we ate and sipped on the last bits of summer. Bottom line, don't let the decor fool you, this place is a gem by the Sea! I'm giving Breakers at Ashworth by the Sea 5 stars, despite the atmosphere because the service and food more than compensated for the dated atmosphere. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Food was awesome! Wish we could have had one of everything! Isaac was very attentive, very funny guy! Prices here were super low compared to the rest of the spots on the boardwalk! Easy to find location too! Very good all around spot! With awesome staff

I was expecting to be somewhat disappointed as we often are by pricey high demand resort locations, usually you pay a lot and quality is lacking. However, Breakers far exceeded my expectations. The maple bacon scallops were by far the best, so delicious I could have licked the sauce off the plate, and for $18 for 4 they were large in size. They have a little spice, so if you don’t like a red pepper flake kick don’t get it. They also look nowhere near as good as they taste. The house salad was fresh, crisp, and had whole black olives which was a nice touch that most places leave out, and I love olives! The clam chowder was also great. The fish tacos I’ll just say the fried fish was cooked perfectly and delicious, but they did too much with the ingredients. Chipotle remoulade , pickled onions, black bean corn salsa, I love them all individually. I would have left out the black bean corn salsa or vice versa. The sirloin steak was tender and a good cut of meat, but lacked a little in flavor. Service was polite, but not personable. I thought the menu prices would be out of this world, but it compares to a regular pub. I would eat there again.

Relaxed atmosphere with soft music in the background. Service was quick and polite. Our seafood platter, my soup, the appetizer, pizza and fish were great and decent sized

This is one of our go to places in Hampton Beach, NH. They make the best Cosmopolitans I’ve ever had!

Some of the worst food we've ever eaten. Obviously the owner of this place couldn't care less what is served to their customers. They were out of many items on themenu. Bacon wrapped scallops were scallops tossed in bacon bits. Chicken Parm was dry and days old, absolutely no tomato sauce was on the food! Lobster carbonara was chewy and inedible. This was $93.00! Never have we been so ripped off! Major changes need to be made or this establishment should close it's doors.

We have been going to Breakers since my 10 year old was an infant… one of the best parts of this is that Christine has been our waitress all 10 years and literally has watched our son grow up. Tonight’s experience was so awful… nothing to do with Christine… rather the awful hostess named Joanne. Joanne is one of the most demeaning individuals I’ve ever had to watch in my lifetime. In the course of our dining, we watched her ridicule and yell… YELL… at almost every single employee in that building. It was heartbreaking. She killed the vibe 100% and I was anxious for the staff the entire time. These poor people looked defeated and couldn’t do anything to appease Joanne. Everything they did was not correct and received a loud scene. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. It was so heartbreaking and anytime anyone asked for anything, I got nervous that she was going to blow. We dined in the night before as well and she wasn’t there and it was perfect. Dan was great as well. Please someone do something about this terror of a “leader”. Going to lose some good staff over her.

The baked haddock with rice was great. The wine spritzer was a bit expensive but satisfying.

The only positive is the food was good. We stayed at the hotel and I called to make a reservation but they did not answer the phone so I walked downtown to the restaurant. Rita the F&B Director let me know it was first come first served. When we arrived later that evening to sit down she asked "do I have you on my list?" Confused because she told me earlier they don't do reservations. Next came Christine the server. I asked Christine if the brussel sprouts appetizer was gluten free. Her response "no they have apple cider vinegar." I let her know apple cider vinegar is gluten free. She looked confused and said "they have something." Frustrated by this point I decided against even ordering them. Pedro delivered the food, he was the best employee at this restaurant, thank you Pedro. Next Christine tells us the fireworks are cancelled due to "the birds." It's memorial day weekend and per Hampton beach Facebook page they were still on so I asked "why would they cancel due to the birds?" She responded " they are poisonous to the birds." Confused and frustrated at the whole experience we asked for the check and left. I stopped at the front desk on my way out and asked the girl if fireworks were cancelled due to the birds. She seemed confused and asked Rita, the F&B director who's server ten minutes earlier told me yes. Rita said she hadn't heard that they were cancelled. Ten minutes later the fireworks commenced. Moral of the story, this restaurant needs to train their staff in gluten free food options and ingredients, decide of they are going to do reservations or not and not tell people fireworks are cancelled because of the birds!

Convenient restaurant especially if you're staying at the hotel Ashworth by the Sea. Service is very friendly and all servers seemed very pleasant. There is a bar area plus plenty of table seating. We were being seated all the way in the back but asked for a window table and they were very agreeable and gave us the table we wanted. Food portions were huge! I ordered the baked haddock special which was coated with bread crumbs and came with rice pilaf and Brussels sprouts. The haddock was tender, the Brussels sprouts were crispy and tender really good. Had leftovers to take home. The hubs ordered the fried haddock fish tacos and there were two tacos and they were huge and had pickled onions, corn, black beans and an aioli. Came with sides of coleslaw and tartar sauce plus French fries. He said they were really tasty, and the fries were hot and fresh. He enjoyed his meal. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu which was quite good but I'm a bit of a tiramisu snob so I've had better. They had music playing initially from the 70s/80s and then more modern day. There was one couple dancing in the back where there is an open area. At one point a few other people joined them too. Overall good food, very reasonably priced and friendly service in a great location!

I don't usually leave poor reviews but I'm honest and you should not go here. This place is outdated, and the quality of food and drink is just poor. You'd have a better meal microwaving something from your freezer. The service is also very slow, but very nice. This whole place just doesn't know what they're doing unfortunately.

The food was good, but the service was slow. The ambiance was just amazing but it just average.
