Would give it 0 stars if I could !! My Boyfriend and I went to the Smuttynose on Sunday for lunch , it was my first time eating at the Smuttynose Brewery , I ordered the Fried fish sandwich, and was very disappointed, the fish came out, like a long fillet, deeply fried in a heavy greasy dark oil, and a very thick batter. The ends of the fish were sticking outside of a round bun, which looked very odd as I tried to break a piece of the fish off the end the oil just dripped off it and onto my jeans which stained them because it was so greasy and it did not taste good at all, I did not eat it, I ordered the potato chips with it, which were also extremely soaked in oil and not tasty at all I should have just told the waitress to take it back to the kitchen. For the prices that they charge their food should be much better than what it is. It was bad bar food and I will never eat there again my boyfriend ordered the Ba Ba bang chicken sandwich that was also deeply fried and greasy. He was not happy with his meal as well. We will not be going back there to eat. $40 for two sandwiches that were awful. His beer was the best part of this overpriced inedible meal . Very disappointed! We have been for drinks and their live bands in the summer and the environment is great , but would not recommend u eat there , eat else where before you go .. I wish I would of just told our waitress to take it back to the kitchen. What in the world was that chef thinking sending it out like that... What a waste of money. smh

We stopped by on a whim and was surprised there was live music and no wait. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating. The wait staff was on the ball, we got seated quickly and checked on often even though they were busy. Will definitely be going back.

If you are in the area between 3-5pm Monday-Friday(Wednesday-Friday in the winter) this is by far the best placeto eat at. The happy hour specials are the best around. Food is great, beer is amazing and the place is just a fun place to be at. If you are a veteran it is also a great place to go, as they offer us discounts for our sacrifice. Gotta say I like this place alot.

We love Smutty. They have a great outdoor seating area and bar with music and trivia in the summer. Great drinks and great food!

Love everything about Smuttynose! We frequent there often especially when the season for music on the patio is here!.

The food was consistently good. Like a good place for needing dinner. I liked the atmosphere enough. No one greeted us or said welcome so at first we felt awkward. We have been back and now we just expect that. We are just there for food.

We came from out of state to visit this area, specially for the beer. We got some of their beer in Rhode Island (some pineapple sour), and it was delicious, so we were looking forward to this visit. The restaurant is nice, and so is the service. They have daily specials, and today (Sunday) was a "buy an adult menu item for $9.99+ and get a kids meal for free". We took advantage of this and paired it with a poutine. Not super impressed by the poutine since it didn't have cheese curds and instead just had a bunch of cheese melted on the bottom of the dish, but it was still okay. The beer was delicious. You can get flights in here too. Next time we come, we will probably stick to just the tasting room, but nice location either way!

This place does not disappoint- friendly service, great beer and food. Always a little cold so bring a jacket or dress warm!

Food is good, beers are great, entertainment is fun. The bar/restaurant is very well run. The shop is dog friendly and the beer garden is a great spot to hang out in the warmer months.

What a great place to stop over when on the seacoast. We have long been a fan of their beers. We went deep sea fishing and popped in here on the way to a job in Maine. They have a great happy hour too. We arrived wind burned, cold, and hungry. Ordered each a big IPA, and then the large size chicken fingers, and the pretzel bites. The chicken fingers are some of the best I have ever eaten. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were just okay, but boy were those chicken fingers the best. The large portion of chicken finger is massive (they aint lying) We ended up eating the last couple the next day in the hotel room for breakfast, and they were still delicious cold. Staff was friendly and attentive, and caught that the pretzel bites hadn't come out with the chicken tenders. Nice location, it has outdoor seating too. The only real criticism is there only being two bathrooms on the ground floor, there was one more upstairs and that was also occupied. It can be really annoying when people in a group all decide to use the facilities at the same time, it can really back up the flow of things.

We were visiting family in NH and stopped here one night for dinner. It was very crowded and took longer than promised to get seated. Once seated, we were greeted quickly by our server Joe. He was very familiar with the menu and beer offerings. Orders were taken and everything came out correct and tasted great. We'll definitely stop back next time we are visiting.

Friendly staff; exceptional service, delicious food and cold drafts! Try to get here when it first opens; we visited on a Sunday and by the time we left there wasn't an empty seat. I also forgot my bag and when I called to let them know, they said they had it and would keep it at the hostess station. I went through it and nothing was missing, honest bunch!

Waited 1 hr 20 min for a table only to find out they gave my table away because "they messaged me" which they did not, even showed them the phone. The kid said they'd put me "back in the list" and I would have to wait again - even though tables were available
