Tried Shane’s for the first time yesterday & enjoyed it! Food was delicious & looks like they have an awesome outdoor area for music in the summer. Will be back!

Shane’s has become one of our favorite local takeout joints. Our waitress was very kind and the other employees we interacted with were eager to take care of their guests, even correcting errors when ordering. The menu is extensive and priced right. My husband loves their various meat plates, his favorite being their smoked brisket. I love their loaded mac and cheese and pulled pork sandwich. The flavor isn’t as spicy as I would like (it is a sweeter sauce) but the meat is always tender and buns are fresh and fluffy. The restaurant has a stage for bands, a full open bar, and a fun outdoor bar with amazing murals. While the drink menu was small, they were happy to make anything. We will visit during the warmer months when the atmosphere is more lively.

Exorbitant prices, $36 for a rack of ribs are Boston prices and it's funny how they only give you 10 ribs when I could have sworn a full rack was 12 ribs. Likewise they give you five ribs on the half rack when it's supposed to be 6. Also funny how you need to buy a minimum half pound meat when buying in bulk yet they are more than happygive you only a 1/4 pound of meat each on their two meat plate, which they charge a whopping $28 for. Ridiculous.

Love this little spot! After being in Texas for 8 years this gives me a little piece of home. The creamed corn reminds me of the famous Rudy’s recipe. The brisket is amazing! We went to a cook out they catered and people couldn’t stop talking about the

I took ribs with two sides, 5 ribs where skinny almost without meat and one rib was so small and burned that you can’t count it. I do not recommend to go there it is expensive as well.

TL;DR. Sloooowww service, overpriced food. Arrived at 5:00 on a Friday evening. Four tables in use so not busy at all. We were seated quickly and decided what we wanted and put down the menus. Waited 10-15 minutes for our order our order to be taken. We each ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked beans. The only side that comes with the sandwiches is chips. Each side is an additional $5.50! We paid $20.50 each ($15+5.50) which was too much for what we got. After our order was taken, we then waited more than 40 minutes for our food to be served. Pulled pork and beans would already have been prepared, just need to put the pork on a bun and dish out the beans. Goody Coles would have had that ready in 5 minutes if they weren't busy.As for food quality the BBQ and beans were good, and the serving sizes were generous, but $15 for a sandwich with just chips is a lot. I liked the beans but my wife thought they were at bit spicy. We had to ask for sauce. We lived in Texas for 5 years and this would never have cut it in Texas.Parking: Small parking lot, no way they could park enough cars to fill the restaurant.

The overall experience was just okay. Having spent a few years managing the Maine KCBS competition, this might have been in the top 10.

We LOVE Shane's! It's one of our favorite places. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the building is so clean. We like going on Tuesdays for trivia and $3 tacos. The brisket is melt in your mouth, and their turkey is to die for. I lived in the heart of Texas and Oklahoma for a combined 8 years, and this is the only BBQ we've found up here that comes even close to real BBQ. You can smell the smoker when you pull up. Their Mac and cheese is real southern style Mac and cheese too, and my boyfriend really likes the cornbread. The only thing is the parking lot is really small, but its within walking distance of street parking so it's not awful. Still, definitely worth it if you're looking for some southern comfort!
