I took a busload of senior citizens on a hike to Smith Pond. After 4 miles in and out, our adventurous group was ready for a filling lunch. I contacted The Baited Hook well beforehand to see if they could accommodate our large group, and the response from Dawn was swift and positive. Next to Mascoma Lake, and serving decent seafood and ice cream. The new owners have kept it open and it's nice to be able to eat facing the lake either on their porch or on the picnic tables.

So cool that you can boat to this restaurant! The food was really good - probably the best stripped clams we've tasted. The onion rings were amazing. The staff was very friendly and informative. We'll be back to enjoy this place again - by land and by water!
