Today 6/19/2022 I went to visit my son in Manchester for fathers day. Looking for where to order food, online I found La Esquina Restaurant at 363 Chestnut St. I ordered fried chicken and fried pork with white rice and beans and chicken soup. The young woman told us that it was going to take a while because everything had to be cooked fresh. She recommended sancocho instead of chicken soup. If the food is going to be fresh I would gladly wait, quite a while. I have had tremendous embarrassment with My son and his girlfriend's family. The food was not even hot. The pork was reheated and was dry. The fried chicken had more bone than meat. I was shocked at the poor quality of the food. I don't know if the sancocho was fresh or reheated, but I noticed that the daughter-in-law tried it and made aguaje that she ate and it seems that she didn't like it because she covered it and didn't eat it. I was actually embarrassed to ask him. The only thing they gave me that was fresh and I could eat was a small salad of 2 little pieces of tomato and lettuce that they gave me. I honestly do not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

This a nice place to have a drink

Noisy beyond reasonable, they frisked us and went through my purse (65 yrs old) and there was only one bottle of tequila behind the "bar". Charged us $10.00 for a thimble. Is this place a front or something? No respect for the neighborhood.

I had never had such a horrible experience in my life, it took two and a half hours. When I received my order poorly made. To fix it another 30 minutes and they gave me what it wasn't. The chicken chicharrones burnt the salad in the hot mofongo, I don't recommend it. Sorry but no. Too expensive for the poor quality. ????

I do not recommend it at all, they take too long, they gave us the order that was not, we complained again and they did not treat us very well, we told them what they owed us and reluctantly they gave us again what was not and the food, wuacala , the burnt chicken, the salty mofongo, the fried pork there was no one to bite it and the hot salad. I really do not recommend it.

The worst experience in this place, we ordered chicken chicharrón and it was rotten, the service is disgusting and the worst thing is that they only served the person at our table well because he is Dominican! The waitress had no experience at all to serve, it's a place for low-class people!

I had high expectations but unfortunately, the chicken was burnt, and no one in my family could eat it. We also ordered from the menu and it said $8.00, we ordered 3 orders and they charged us $54.00 for me, they are misleading ads and I do not recommend them

Preheated food, not fresh food.

Fried chicken was really good. Flavorful and not dry.

I’m sorry I don’t like to leave bad reviews because I know what it does to a business but this place is not running their business well at all. They are new and should definitely be on top of things like menu pricing and actually keeping the kitchen stocked with the menu items that are listed.Tried to order Mofongo con carnefrita. 20$ which is ok. I’ll pay it. Then they don’t have the pork so I said OK make it however. But I find out the Mofongo is actually $23 according to the bartender and it does not come with rice or anything else. I’m sorry I don’t want to pay $30 for lunch at a small little rinky-dink bar.I have also been there for the club nights. They want 10 $20 to walk in the door but there’s no DJ nobody’s even there they want $40 just to smoke a hookah. I would pay those prices if the place had some kind of entertainment or even other people lol was fine but everybody just seems very money hungry and just want to give minimal minimal minimal customer service. I’m sorry guysIt really just seems like you need to change how you’re running things there or switch your priorities around. Just because you have good food doesn’t mean you can let all other areas slack and charge whatever you want. I don’t think you guys will be here long
