they keep their pastries far longer than they should so they don't have to throw them away, and then they sell them to the customers like that. got one with mold in it this morning. that SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. EVER. super dissapointed

Go. You must try this. Close you'd dyes and You are on a Boulevard in Hungry. I've had a great luck to go this is as tasty as if you were in Europe. The staff is extremely friendly extremely knowledgeable I've tried different things over the years Some I like some I don't. So they point me in a different direction . But it is delicious and it's great value. Try it

The older gentleman was quite a delight to chat with. Very friendly, kind and worked with a smile. We ordered the schnitzel and goulash and also got the ham and wax bean soup which came with a roll. The roll may have been a week old. It was hard, dry and stale. And the meat in our entrees was a bit dry and tough. However we still enjoyed our meal and would return and be willing to try it again.

Owner was rude because we came right at 1030 am and he wanted to close to prep for lunch. He warned us CASH ONLY and we walked down the block to the ATM. He waited for us but was not kind about it.The restaurant reeked of Europian cigarettes!!!I was worried the pastries we ordered would taste of cigarettes but purchased $20 with tip; we got a wide assortment. They were so horrible! ?We have lived in Europe and visited Hungry. The desserts looked good but all were ruined by the smoke. We tried a bite of each and ended up throwing it all in the trash! I was annoyed and disappointed.

Authentic Central European comfort food lunch, takeout and dessert. Owner is awesome with recommendations and more than fair prices for the quality. Soups are great and sample the apple turnovers.

Great selection of hungarian pastries (for example Dobos torta, Linzer) and dishes (such as goulash). We had a beef goulash with pasta and rice and Wiener schnitzel with potatoes. Both were delicious. But nothing matched the Dobos torta desert. Simply amazing!!

Delicious sweets, friendly service! Got the Amandine (chocolate cake with an almond syrup), Chocolate Minion (german chocolate-like cake with cherry fondant), and Dobos torte (spongecake with chocolate butter cream and caramel on top). You must get them all!

Whenever we come up from Massachusetts, we must stop here! It's really easy to spend $50 on pastries. They are delicious!

Have enjoyed going to Lala several times over the past 4 or 5 years. The beef goulash is very good, prices fair. It's family owned and run, a great little local spot.

I went here a while ago and when I asked the man at the counter what he would recommend, he rolled his eyes at me and said just pick something. It was the WORST experience I have had at a restaurant. I had done nothing to provoke him and only wanted to know what he preferred.

Authentic food, excellent conversation and real history. I drive 25 miles to eat here frequently. So good.
