My husband and I visited while passing through Portsmouth in September of 2022 and had a fantastic experience. We were drawn in by the mosaic on the sidewalk out front and we stayed for the local brews and seafood. The clam chowder was awesome and the fish and chips tasted so fresh!! I loved that the bathroom door was huge and made of steel. I saw they've been closed for repairs after a water main break, so I hope they get back up on their feet again soon. We'd love to travel out here and visit again!!

Cozy local restaurant that serves great food. Awesome food, the fish and chips is one of the best I've tried. Tried out the Hot Apple Cider for the 1st time and I was hooked. Definitely the best drink you can have on a cold winter night! The environment is so cozy and comfortable. Parking could be challenging and please make sure you note the time limit so you avoid getting a ticket.

A pit stop before me and my fiancé went up towards Maine. The service was great, we stayed only for the beer flights since we had dinner plans after. I love their selection of beers and how cheap it was !! $13 for 10 beer samples is crazy (compared to our NYC pricing).

Portsmouth Brewery is one of the most lively venues in downtown Portsmouth. The seating is different in every room so you get a different experience each visit. This is the perfect place to bring a large group of friends and order a few beers or cocktails. The only downside is that the restaurant is constantly busy, with slower than average service. We enjoy this as it allows us to slow down and enjoy it.The menu is constantly changing but one thing remains constant - the variety of vegetarian and vegan options. While I am no longer a vegetarian, the veggie burgers, falafel, and flatbreads I have had over the years have been delicious. The options are well-priced and hearty. You will have no problem filling up with their entrees and oversized nachos.

Dalton was a very helpful employee. My daughter spilled orange juice and then I spilled my beer lol. He came right over and helped us out and made sure we got new drinks. Our server was also friendly and very attentive. The food here was great and the beer is awesome. Definitely a great stop if you're in Portsmouth !

Food and brew was great, I can't complain a bit. The atmosphere was mediocre at best, but I'm sure that gets better when summer is in full swing. Please ask Julia for your waitress needs, very prompt for your dining needs.Parking: Parking close to downtown can get expensive.
Food was great we were 13 in our party got seated in this side room where we had our own party, food came pretty fast had a backyard burger and fries and a Vienna larger. Will be back

Great atmosphere to visit with a couple of friends. Portsmouth was centrally located as two of us are from So. Maine and one from No. Shore of Massachusetts. Nice selection of beer and server let me sample two before I picked what I wanted (I think I chose the Vienna Lager ??). Terrific burger cooked medium rare. Yum....

Excellent brew! I ordered a few tasters (free!) and then decided on the Dirty Blonde Ale. Delicious! We ate lunch, both of us chowing the fish sandwich. This was excellent, and the fries and coleslaw were good too.

we ordered a burger, chili and a salad. the chili was spicy and really good. they topped it with the fixins. we got the jalapeños on top, they were fresh and definitely added a kick. the cesar salad was good, didn't like the polenta crouton though! the brussels sprouts to the salad was a nice touch. the "dunk burger" or mushroom burger was flavorful and juicy. i added the shark sauce, the hot sauce on the table, and added something good. the bun was just okay, nothing special. the fries were average. a complaint is about the organic ketchup, definitely not as good. our server was kind and attentive. one thing, go to the bathroom the doors are really cool. there's a big bar and tons of unique drinks if you are a drinker!! would stop again!
