We were on a New England vacation and when we stopped in Portsmouth, New Hampshire we wanted to grab a lobster roll. We decided to grab a lobster roll from Sanders and it was one of the best lobster rolls we had on our trip! The bread was delicious with just the right amount of butter, the lobster was cooked to perfection. Overall it was a delicious lobster roll. In fact, we stopped back on our way home to get one more before going home! Next time I’m in the area I will make sure to stop in for another one!

They sold us a lobster that probably starved to death in the tank. Maybe 1/3 of shell had meet. Not acceptable. Photo is ALL of the meat from a 1 lbs lobster.

Always fresh... employees that are efficient, friendly, and know what they are doing.
The best stop we made on our trip. It's a cute scenic/picturesque spot. Their crab roll was amazing and it was the best clam chowder we had. We came in with a large group, but they were so accommodating and nice about it. Keep in mind that rolls do take some time to make because they do it fresh, so anticipate a little wait to get your food. There is no seating in the shop, so we took our food to the park nearby to eat. There is a little bench in front. 10/10 would recommend. Everyone was very happy.

Delicious and fresh seafood, quick service. Loved the decor and historical facts on the walls. Will stop by again when we are in Portsmouth.

Cute fish market. They sell some fresh produce at the front of the store, and towards the back is a plethora of refrigerated goodies (ranging from frozen seafood, to ready-made foods and spreads). They also have fresh fish and lobster/crab rolls (some of my friends got it and they enjoyed it). My 10+ friend group visited in October 2023 (hard to miss us, we def looked like tourists/not around here) came here spontaneously because we were looking for something substantial before dinner, and this was the right place to go - the two people working there handled us very well without seeming overwhelmed. Coming from Austin, Texas, we don't have that many great seafood options. I loved that they had gluten free options (the clam chowder was amazing and one of the best ones that I've had and it's pretty affordable; they also had gluten free clam cakes - wow, that was great - I got mine frozen so it would keep longer and it was great after I pan-fried it). Just wish there was a seating area, but they had maybe a bench or two outside of the market.
