OUTSTANDING FOOD! Charlie & Staff are super nice, polite & super helpful! I worked Full time in Boston, Mass. years ago when there were real places to eat owned by real human beings, instead of global Corporation ownership. During this time in Boston, there were multiple family owned Sub Shops where the atmosphere was wonderful. ALL Owners were delighted to see his/ her customers & foood was impeccable! Fresh, hot ingredients & plenty of them. At this time in Boston, there were no puny servings of half cold/ HOT sandwiches with few bits of ingredients inside. I have been longing for fabulous Steak & Cheese sub for long, long, long time. I have finally found MY HAPPY SUB/ PIZZA SHOP - its name is CHARLIE's. I have (2) favorite Sub sandwiches: steak & cheese (sometimes with other toppings) & Meatballs with melted cheese on top. I have eaten @ Charlie's about (4) times now, ordering the SUPER DELIGHTFUL Steak & Cheese, large with Extra Cheese. OH MY GAWD! Beyond delightful. So similar to Steak & Cheese (S & C) subs from old Boston. This is a real feat to be sure! So, let me tell you about the S &C sandwich here @ Charlie's. Super soft, white (inside) sub roll with bit crispy outside filled to brim with HOT, gooey, creamy White American cheese served super hot off the grill in just short space of time. Oh my GOD! I should really order a SMALL considering actual LARGE is like eating a US battleship!! However, I get inside this store & large S&C's are invariably wafting past me. OOOH!! the aroma! This sandwich seems to do this A LOT in Charlie's & I fall. I am weak. So weak, for this dreamy, hot S & C sub sandwich from my youth. One day I will try a Meatball Sub but for now I am so ensconced in the S & C Sub that I cannot think of anything else once I enter this store. I was recently telling my (82) yr. old friend about Charlie's & she is dying to go there. She loves pizza & the works too! So, while I know there are other wonderful creations in this very clean, local sub shop & I look over his menu everytime & then fall for the S&C in this adorable shop. Like it calls to me, oh my gawd! One day perhaps, I will break free of this S & C hold over me & try different sub sandwich, but for now I am S & C devotee @ Charlie's. Thank you all, for my great sandwiches! For your super nice/ patient counter help! So very, very great there! WOnderful overall. Eat @ Charlie's! Often!Parking: onsite parking is available!

Been coming here for years, have tried several different items on the menu and they have all been fantastic. What I love most about the place is that when you walk in, it instantly feels like the "neighborhood pizza joint" its just a good comforting atmosphere almost like you're friends with everyone that works there. Prices are right in line with today's economy, no better, no worse than any other place. If you want a $5 pie go try out Lil' Caesars, if you want a quality pie come to Charlies. Their signature dish in my opinion is the BBQ chicken pizza, you just can't go wrong.What would a review be without some constructive criticism? My only suggestion for improvement would be to have website where we can see the menu or add some sort of online ordering platform for convenience but at the same time, I don't know if I really want them to have it....I respect how they run the business now, old school. You want a pie, you call 'em up and do it. I see some folks on here complained about not being able to pay over the phone. Hate to tell ya but typing in credit card numbers cost the business more money in fees and it puts YOUR security at risk. What they're doing now works, no fancy POS, no printers, just write it on the slip, hand it back to the kitchen. Be happy they aren't cash only ;)Good work Charlie and the gang, keep it up!

My husband and I moved here a year ago and we absolutely LOVE Charlie’s! The people are so kind, the food is always a hit! My husband just ordered the Charlie’s House Special pizza, now I usually don’t like pizza but that was literally the best friggen pizza I’ve ever had!!! We are such Charlie fans we haven’t tried any other restaurants like it.
