I’ve been here twice so far, and each time it’s been very consistent. Love the fluffy Omelettes that they do and the meal is consistently good the fruit is diced fresh and the ingredients are always fresh as well. Definitely an awesome hidden gem in Salem, and there’s never a wait! Majority of people love going to Maddie’s, Sammy J’s, or Mary Ann’s which are great quality breakfast restaurants in Salem but there’s always a long wait. Rosey is a wonderful human and always so pleasant along with the other ladies that work here. I will be coming here way more often!

This is my second time at Gourmet Bites, and my second review. My first experience was great. Today however, not so much. The waitress was great, so no issues there, but I decided to try the Kibbe Sandwich. They offer a lot of Mediterranean offerings which would appear to be their specialty. Though the portion was large, the kibbe was mostly wheat germ. I have never had Kibbe where it was not primarily ground beef/lamb w wheat germ added, not the main ingredient. It came wrapped in pita w lettuce tomato, onion, mint salad that was very tasty. Most places serve this or Shawarma w a tahini sauce, but GB uses a dressing. My companion ordered their German omelette that is to have sausage and veggies, and it came without the sausage. He also said it was not well seasoned. I know he hates to say anything, but he did and it was rectified. I even heard the order go in, so it was ordered correctly by the waitress to the chef. There was only one other table of 2 in there, so it wasn't like it was busy. I really liked their eggs benedict featured in my first review, so maybe that is what I will go to GBs for in the future.

Rosemary and Gourmet Bites catered our wedding in June, and they were absolutely incredible! There is an extensive list of options to choose from, so we had no trouble choosing three entrees to serve (highly recommend the baked haddock, chicken cordon bleu, and eggplant parmesan!) Rosie was very accommodating and flexible with providing us a tasting, as well as helping me to select appetizers and sides that would be perfect for our day. All of the food tasted home-cooked! If you’re looking for a caterer who is affordable, attentive, and will provide you with absolutely delicious food, I can’t recommend Gourmet Bites enough.

Almost all of the other reviews are from several years ago; so something has changed. My wife and her sister had the stuffed french toast which was said to be excellent. My Irish Eggs Benedict was luke warm and very little hash on it. It came on a bagel, rather than an english muffin, as expected. The Hollandaise sauce with it was very bland. I would go back only to allow my wife the pleasure of the french toast. [But honestly, I make a killer french toast at home (which she enjoys) for a tenth of the cost of going out to a restaurant] This trip to G. Bites was more of a social outing with relatives from out-of-town, anyway. I will say that I had their food at a wedding reception recently and it was very good. All being said, I suggest going a little farther south on Rt. 28 and have a much better experience at Mary Anns'. [And I have no financial interest in Mary Anns'] Note: the staff was very pleasant.

Gourmet Bites and Catering truly has the BEST food. I have been there for lunch/dinner and utilized their catering services for my wedding on July 1st, 2023. Everyone absolutely loved the food. People said the baked haddock was the best they’ve had in their life, and nothing can beat their NY Style Cheesecake! On top of the great food, their service is extremely friendly and welcoming!!

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out the experience was delightful!Food came out very fast, tasted delicious, our waitress was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was inviting, and everything in-between was just as good. They have a house made seasoning on the table that is to die for, same with the cinnamon chips and yogurt, to die for!10/10 would recommend Gourmet Bites, and we will be back!!!!
