This place was so lovely. We called a day ahead to see if there would be any tours available and the owner made an exception, though he certainly didn't have to. Very friendly guy who told us about the process, and about some gimmicks and standards in the industry, and what to look for on a bottle to know whether it came from the source. We finished up with a tasting and ended up purchasing a bottle each of the bourbon and aged rum, as well as maple syrup.
Kevin, the owner, gave us such an informative tour. I learned so much and the alcohol was very tasty. We got samples of all of his products including the maple syrup. It was also really nice supporting a local veteran owned business.

We went to the Smoky Quartz Distillery tour today. Kevin, the owner, was our tour guide. What a fun and informative time we had. He is very knowledgeable about his trade and made us feel so welcome. We tasted a nice variety of excellent samples. We left with many bottles, complimentary glasses, and a hat.
