My review is only about ordering catering. I ordered $550-worth of catering on 9/18/23 and called 3 days later to check on it and the Manager *whose name rhymes with stick* told me that they weren't doing German food catering anymore and the graphic designer messed up by not taking down that page. They didn't have one of the menu items at all anymore and issued me a refund. 10 days later *1.5 HRS BEFORE MY EVENT*, we showed up and no was there. No call. No email. Nothing. I had to reach out to a friend who worked there and the Manager "Stick" told me they were flooded and couldn't fulfill my order. I understood the circumstance but I didn't appreciate not being notified when the flooding started so I may have had a few more hours (maybe a day?) to figure out an alternative plan. "Stick" never apologized. It was 1.5 hours before my event and he didn't even start the convo by saying he couldn't fulfill the order, he started with excuses. I feel bad that their business was ruined but they may want to have an online catering system going forward so they have contact info online in order to reach out in case of an emergency.

Why are we putting up with these restaurants charging us for their costs to do business? Out of all of the things that boggles my mind, this is at the top. The convenience of credit card use is 1000% the responsibility of the business, it is literally THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS. PERIOD. Full Stop. Prices have already been raised across the board, now you're passing the cost of doing business onto the consumer as well with your surcharge for using a credit card. Really? If credit card companies are charging too much, you should get together with other business owners and go after them. You don't pass that charge onto your customer; it's offensive and it's immoral. When will enough be enough? Am I the only person that gives a crap about this, it appears so. The food was fine. The server was good, but I don't patron restaurants that charge me for services that are NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY.

Tried to have a family meal here, while parking car, I let rest of family go in ahead of me. When I walked up the bouncer aggressively was arguing about validity of my college children's ID's. We just wanted to eat! (the ID's scanned fine btw). No rush to come back. I assume maybe the shore crowd warrants aggressive enforcement - but perhaps the bouncers should be trained to recognize a family coming in for a father's day meal at lunch time on a weekend.

Our friends made the reservation and we were not aware that you needed an ID to enter. My wife didn’t have her ID on her. Which is no big deal. However, the way the guy at the entrance approached it is in my mind unacceptable. He was being rude and trying to belittle us. I asked if she could just get an X on her hand because she wasn’t going to drink anyways. He then proceeds to say that kids with a parent can eat here but we can’t simply go in just to eat. I don’t mind the rules but the way he approached it. Give a guy a clipboard and a radio and he thinks he can walk on water apparently.

We've lived in AP for over 6 years. When we first moved here, this place was truly a Biergarten. Authentic German food, a full menu of German and European beers on tap. And the burger, if you know, you know, it was PERFECT. Then COVID hit, and I'm not sure if management changed or something, but it started going downhill when they replaced this beautiful old map with a mural of a girl drinking beer. Then, they got rid of all the German beers. Now, we recently went, and they don't even have any German food on their menu and that burger is gone! :-( unfortunately, you've lost a customer in me. I loved that burger and it was the best in town. You can't call yourself a Biergarten anymore because it's not one. If you're looking for a Biergarten experience, don't expect it here. If you're looking for overpriced beer and food at a better looking sports bar, then go ahead.

Great spot for some beer and pub food. Some great choices and happy hours at this location. You have your standard pub food which is good. They have a nice rooftop bar.

What a wonderful night in Asbury... ended at the Biergarten! We started off coming in and sitting in the middle table in the dining area. We were told exactly how to sit by the hostess. We had to sit 3 and 3. Then about 17 minutes later we were able to catch the eye of a waitress named Rachel. Rachel took our orders, was extremely impatient, and didn't try to sell or persuade us into buying anything. We had 2 children with us and asked what drinks were available (coke or Pepsi products) and she stood there like a deer in the headlights. Drinks came thru about 10 minutes after placing the order: We waited about 45 minutes for our food, to be expected since it was busy on a Saturday night. Rachel came by the table multiple times and said "it's coming." Like thank you, that's why we were waiting. We got our appetizer, amazing pretzel... absolutely delish! Highly recommend the mustard and beer cheese. We ordered a chicken tender meal, 2 schnitzel, 1 bratwurst, 2 burgers. The food runner said that there were multiple other orders placed for our table. So we were brought duplicates of some of the meals. Which we sent back. And the food runner and waitress had a convo right next to our table with the waitress making it seem as if it was our fault that she placed duplicate orders. While eating we needed refills which Rachel did not come and check on us at all after food was received until we were almost done. Multiple people from our party made direct eye contact with Rachel to come over to the table. Rachel did not come to the table and walked in the opposite direction of the need. At this point the restaurant had really cleared out and most tables were empty. Finally when she did come over she took the drinks that needed to be refilled and brought those back and asked if we needed boxes. At this point we requested one and she brought it back and left again. We waited another 30 minutes for the check. When we finally got her attention to come over she asked if we needed something and asked for the check. She came back with it and left it on the table for a few minutes. After waiving Rachel down yet AGAIN she finally came to collect payment. She stood directly behind the person paying handing him the recommended tip sheet. And watched his every move. Isn't that rude? What we believe the tip should be should not be micromanaged by the employee. Since when does a waitress get to dictate our tip amount? Very dissatisfied with this employee and she ruined our whole experience. The food was absolutely phenomenal and totally wish that overall it could have been a pleasant experience. I'm extremely disappointed with how unpleasant and undereducated she was on the menu.

Booked an event here for my husbands 30th birthday surprise party. I worked with Kelly who was fantastic and very helpful in putting this together. The staff was great, food was delicious, and a beautiful day spent on the rooftop! Thank you!!

I always rate on 3 things (service, atmosphere, and food). 1- service was great. The server had a huge section and was working hard. 2. Love the atmosphere. Just a cool place to relax and have a pint. 3. Food is pretty good. Not the best but the rest makeup for the food.

This poor review is coming from a long time family of customers who use to speak very highly of this place. I am disgusted by the experience I just had here when introducing a good friend of mine. I was looking forward to coming here all day. We got to the door they asked for ID, which is fine I understand that. My friend brought her daughter and she is her guardian. Bouncer immediately denied us service because he said a parent has to be present. Insensitively did not acknowledge that SHE IS the parent. Do you not know the definition of guardian???? I am disgusted by the discrimination we just went through. I went to ask to speak to a manager and then quickly switched to saying he was the “manager” and that he can make whatever rules he wants to because we are a private business. No you are just a disgusting racist man. My family will NO longer be customers at here and this place should be ASHAMED to say the very least.
