We went into Plaza Garibaldi on the spur of the moment. I did not even consult Yelp reviews. I know.. Sacreligious! Now looking at some of the reviews, I'm left scratching my head... We loved it - the food was great and service was quick. The place was packed and we were literally the only non-hispanic customers. In fact, our waitress did not speak English, but we got by on our limited Spanish skills. The restaurant was nicer inside and accommodated more people than I expected from my initial impression of the hole in the wall exterior. My husband ordered the Bistec (Steak) Ranchero and I got the Pechunga (Chicken) a La Mexicana. Both were served with beans, rice and a side of corn tortillas. We also received 1 complimentary basket of chips and salsa prior to our meal. We were greatly satisfied with everything.
