Got in late so didnt look at shower. Next morning we had unpacked so thought it was just cosmetic. Next night at midnight heard water coming down from floor above into our shower. Dirty shower water, disgusting. Checked out that day and reported to frront desk and showed her pictures. front desk said we should have called maintenance. Huh? At midnight? And they would what, tear the ceiling apart right then and repair the pipe? They should not be using that room for guests. No comp was offered. Very disappointing.

Stayed here with my family from Tuesday to Thursday in July, and the front desk staff gave us two rooms with a passageway to and fro, so it felt like we had a two-room suite! One major observation from my aunt is the lack of a microwave, so you're forced to buy everything on site or eat what you need to immediately to avoid it from perishing or getting too cold. The rooms are nice and are hardwood instead of carpet, which I love, but housekeeping missed fixing the other bed when they did the cleaning. There are NO shortages of food places you can buy from, including two Starbucks locations on site, a Mrs. Fields (which I feel is 24 hours but maybe not), Hooters, a pizza place, and also P.F. Changs and Carmines (classic NYC Italian spot!). I don't gamble, but the slots were not as busy as you would think and there are no-smoking areas. Plus the hotel has access to the boardwalk! For those commuting, like myself on my way back to NYC, there's a bus terminal in the hotel, so all you need to do is go down to catch your bus. The hotel is also around a 10-15 minute Lyft trip to and fro the Tanger Outlets. All in all, it was a great experience staying here.

Customer service is excellent from the front desk to the house keepers to the table dealers. Pleasantly surprised by every interaction with staff. I’ve honestly never gotten such excellent customer service at any other casino.

Had a great getaway at the Trop. Everything went smoothly. Beautiful ambiance. Carmines for dinner, breakfast at Wild Honey, movie at IMAX, all perfect. Our room had a great view, was clean and bright.

I stayed at Tropicana Atlantic City last week for a night. I stayed in the West Tower. The room looked nothing like it did in the pictures. The wall in the bathroom was coming off and there were cracks in the wall throughout the room. I believe the West Tower is the cheapest part of the hotel. The elevators were in awful condition. I saw the difference between the elevators at the West Tower and the North Tower. Huge difference. I’m assuming that’s one of the best towers, more expensive. Classism right in your face. I was going to ask for a room move, but when I went out and saw another room’s door open, it seemed as if they were all similar. I’ll be honest, I also had a pretty good view so I just made the most of what I had. As for the service, I walked up to the front desk agent upon check-in and I asked her how she was doing, and she ignored my question. Not sure if she didn’t hear me or if she actually ignored me. So I just told her I was checking in. She didn’t do a very good job at explaining how to get to my room. As a matter fact, I think she gave me the wrong directions. Now, I am a woman of color, I have Black and Native features, and I have tattoos, so on my end, I perceived as she was stereotyping me in a way. And like I wasn’t worth the time. I have experienced that before, so I see what it can look like. Sometimes I can tell when someone has implicit biases and doesn’t even know how they are coming off. Luckily I found a security guard that told me where to go. The Bellmen were incredibly standoffish. Barely looked me in the eye. And kept my stuff on the floor after I gave it to them to hold. I tried asking them how they are and they didn’t seem to care and seemed bothered by it. Again, I’ve been stereotyped many times. I think people have a tendency of putting people in boxes. Some of the people who work there could definitely show up better. And check their assumptions. There were some men who worked in the casino part of the hotel who were incredibly kind and helpful. I’m not sure if I would go back to stay there in the future.

I’m writing this today not because I think the hotel will care, but for future possible customers. We checked in about 4:00 on a Friday afternoon. Having gotten a room in the West Tower, we found that the room had not been cleaned at all. There were dirty towels on the floor and the room smelled dirty. I called the front desk and, after holding for 10 minutes, was told we would have to go back to check in. We were given another room in the West Tower. This one had been cleaned. However, it was not in good condition and still could have smelled better. The shower had visible mold and the condition of the walls and furniture was poor. We were scheduled to be there for 3 nights but checked out after two. During the course of our stay, we had no hot water at all for 1.5 days. After 30 minutes on hold trying to get someone to look at that, they theoretically sent maintenance and we at least had warm - not hot - water for the final half day. Our room was never serviced during out stay. The hallways looked like a party had been held and no one bothered cleaning up. The whole floor smelled. The room was quite chilly with no thermostat control. We hoped the beach and pool would make up for the room (since we don’t gamble). The beach is very close and convenient, so that’s a plus. To rent two chairs and a very small umbrella on the beach was almost $100, so we didn’t do that. At the pool, all of the chairs near the pool are by purchase only. We ended up behind the row of pay-only lounges (that were not used and didn’t even have umbrellas) and the row of pay-only cabanas (also not in use). So, we couldn’t see the beach or even the pool. The price on the cabanas and lounges after the many taxes and fees is high. Food and drink prices are what you would expect if you have been to Disney World (but without it being the happiest place on earth). Two lattes at Starbucks was ~$20. Dining choices for vegans inside the property are very poor, but there are some spots in the nearby outlets. All of this would have been disappointing in a 3-star chain hotel. For it to be like this at Tropicana weekend prices is ridiculous. I feel like they know how bad it is because when we checked out there was not even a cursory “how was your stay?” While we can’t speak to gambling options, we would strongly suggest going somewhere else if you are just there to enjoy a beach getaway.

I was compelled to write a review regarding my recent stay due to all the negative reviews I read before I went. I was very nervous after reading them all. The stay exceeded my expectations! The property is huge! The self park parking garage takes you to the lobby near the Havana tower. There were plenty of self check in kiosks there. I used one of those but my room wasn’t ready. It was 40 minutes prior to the check in time so I went to ask a representative. She indicated she could get me into my room but it would be a $15.00 early check in fee. We had just had a 6 hour drive so I paid it. The fee seems unnecessary especially being so close to the check in time. My room was in North Tower. Room was perfect! It was clean! Note North/South tower are closest to boardwalk, casino and marketplace but furthest from parking garage. Havana tower is closest to garage. Plenty of all types of restaurants! We ate at PF Chang’s, Casa Taco, the sports bar and Hooters for sit down restaurants. All were great! Marketplace has great options for sandwiches, subs and pizza. Casa Taco has a counter service at Marketplace…had the burrito bowl which was delicious! I love Starbucks coffee so had that each morning but there are cheaper coffee options at the Marketplace. Everything I read indicated the indoor pool which is the only pool for families was online reservation only however you could go to it without reservation! I guess it gets closed if it gets too crowded but we didn’t run into any issues. Outside of the indoor pool is a huge outdoor area with lawn games and lounge chairs…great spot! Only issue we ran into was on last day our room keys stopped working. Went to main front desk which had a huge line. The gentleman overseeing the kiosks was nice enough to help me and gave me new room keys. We went out to an event right after and unfortunately when we returned 4 hours later found the new keys also didn’t work! Back to front desk where the line was enormous with not many representatives. They had to call their locksmith who is on duty. He came and said it was the room keys not being programmed correctly. Worked while he was there but didn’t once he left. We were leaving next day so didn’t bother with calling him back. Wish he just changed the battery in the lock which is what the front desk said the issue was. We enjoyed our stay! Don’t let the negative reviews scare you! I believe North/South and Havana are best towers to stay in.

We were late getting in due to a missed connection. I called the hotel and was advised at 3 am they would cancel our reservation and we may not have a room at all. The room was grimy, gnats everywhere. No blackout curtains. The pool is very loud and you can hear the bass in the room. A staff member walked in our room while we slept after knocking very lightly and did not announce themselves. The beds are not comfortable. Makes me wonder how often that happens. Our room was 706, the coffee pot fritzed out and the other plug had a broken prong in it. We went to their casino and ended up leaving after them not enforcing the nonsmoking area. We payed a lot of money for this stay and it was not worth it. We did go to the front desk and they offersd a $50 drink credit and we told them we don’t drink and we were leaving the next morning.

Ice machines not working on most floors in the west tower. I had to walk to 5 different floors to get ice. Air conditioning doesn’t work well, it’s very hot and humid in the room. I called the front desk, the woman was rude. She said “these f—-ing people” and told me she couldn’t fix an AC unit over the phone. If you are expecting to stay in a nice place and not get cursed at, pick another resort.

Our room was at the end of the hall in the Havana Tower, so it was fairly quiet, but we did have a connected room. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Our air conditioning and refrigerator worked well. We had no problems with the bathroom. There was old food in the hallway garbage can, but when asked, staff had it removed and the area cleaned. We enjoyed walking in the Quarter and on the boardwalk and quite a few of the restaurants. We booked a time slot for the pool, bit it was too crowded when we went. Overall, we had a great stay and would come again.

Nice Set-Up. Good Service. Kinda Tucked Back Out Of The Way, But That's Good When Your Yelling At 7 TVs At The Same Time! Gidee Up!

Uncomfortable chairs make it tough to sit through an entire game, and the WiFi here is absolutely terrible. Because of the location within the building, I barely get any data service on my phone/laptop, so it's hard to either look up in-game info or make a bet electronically through any devices.

The place was clean and very nice

Amenities are nice the employees at the window aren’t very friendly and seem bothered you would want to use them instead of the kiosk. Also no free drinks.
