We had wanted to eat at the Chart House, but there was no availability. We didn't think it was necessary to make a reservation for a Sunday night, but we forgot it was a holiday weekend (President's Day). Anyhoo, we ended up at Grotto's. They seated us immediately. Keith was our server. We started off by sharing a margherita pie & an antipasto. The pizza was NOT good. The antipasto was d'lish. Hubby ordered a flounder (with crabmeat) entree. He enjoyed it. We sat & waited for the longest time for our server to come back to our table. I finally caught his eye & asked him for our check.

We had tasty pasta bolognese and nice wine, especially the rose. Our pizza was delicious - very thin crust and just the right amount of cheese. Unfortunately we couldn’t have cappuccino because the milk steamer was out of commission. Good service overall.

Sorry but grotto dies not no how to make a caprese salad tomatoes were hard I had 3 hard lumps of mozzarella on the plate with no dressing. I had to use the balsamic dressing which we had with our bread which was also stale tasteless n the service was awful.VERY overpriced experience needless to say disappointing.

Food was reasonably priced. Service was great. My wife got the steak and it was delicious. I got the veal and it was one of the best dinners I ever had. Thank you.

We love Grotto pizza. We go there every Friday for pizza and recommend to everyone. BUT…. the last several Friday nights have been terrible. No pizza! How can you not serve pizza at Grotto on Friday night? To top it off, when we discussed with the new manager, she did not give a rat’s patut about it. We love the staff, so I’m sure we will give another chance. But, patience is wearing thin.

Completely unacceptable. I ordered food almost an half and hour ago and my food is still not done. Other costumers have ordered and received their food in less then 5 minutes and i only ordered two items, please fix this problem

Service is definitely sub-par. Hostess was standing looking around, I'm assuming she was new, since it seemed as if her job was literally just to sit guests at the table. We had reservations at 7:30 and still had to "wait." I'm looking around seeing plenty of empty tables that are just not set yet. New girl hostesses finally seats us at a half set table and here comes the manager shaking her head like "no, no, no, this table isn't ready." I'm literally thinking this is a hot mess that this team doesn't seem to have it all together. So ok she seats up at the table next to it, which is still not fully set with proper tableware, plates, napkins. Poor guy who was setting tables seemed slow as molasses and didn't seem to be focused since he would half set a table to then move on to the next. Oh and then the Manager with the tablet checking in guests seemed frustrated and unfocused. I just didn't understand how people had reservations and tables weren't already set. I figured, ok maybe they are short staffed, but young man setting tables should have been moving his feet a bit faster than he was and setting one table at a time before moving on to the next so guests could be seated accordingly. This was my anniversary dinner with a boyfriend, and both of us were slightly disappointed in the service. Although the waitress was super enthusiastic, she forgot our water, forgot our bread plates, and I had to remind her to bring both. Most likely would not dine here again. Food wasn't too great either. So eh, 2 stars, 3 at most!

This is an update to my previous review of Grotto Ristorante. After the trouble we had on April 30, we wrote our review here on Yelp. I was contacted by one of the restaurant managers, Christina, who was very apologetic and understanding. She said that they take complaints very seriously and that they would work on them so that they can improve the dining experience for all.She also offered us a gift card if we would like to give them another try. I thanked her and agreed to come back. We visited Grotto on 6/12, and had a very nice experience. We met Christina, and she made sure our visit was hassle-free. Everyone enjoyed the dinners, and the margherita pizza appetizer. Keith, our waiter, took very good care of us too.We visited on a Sunday around 5:15, so the restaurant was not crowded. Our original night was a Saturday at 7:00, and there was a show in the showroom nearby. I would return to this restaurant because their food is good. Hopefully the original bad experience was just an off night.

Grotto is a solid Italian restaurant. They are located in the middle of the casino floor at Golden Nugget, but the design allows you to enjoy dinner without feeling like you're right in the middle of the casino. Service here was attentive. The quality of the food is excellent here. They have a good selection of wines, too.

Very disappointed in what this place has become. Chicken Alfredo shouldn't be messed up twice and over an hour wait for the second try. My waiter Denver was beyond amazing. He actually tried to stop the woman manager from serving me the wrong food but she didn't listen and tried blaming my server. She then took my order again and sent it back out twice wrong. Denver gets 5 stars. Woman Restaurant manager should be fired. Plus it's now over priced and shortened menu from the past. Go to canines or lily's hard pass on this place now

Place is overpriced and u don’t get good food.. The manager is horrible and doesn’t even know her job. She brought the wrong food out to my table and instead of trying to fix the situation she is trying to convince me that’s what I ordered… my family owns three restaurants a manager like her would’ve been fired on the spot.. Stay away.. I hear McDonald’s is hiring that’s where she should be working. The bartender Denver helped us more then the manager did she didn’t even come out to say sorry about what happened.. they should make Denver the manager…
