Excellent ! Nathan's lives up to its reputation. The hot dogs are delicious, as are the fries. The fried onions are crazy! Well worth the detour, including the walk along the beach. The setting is exceptional!

If you visit Coney Island, make sure you eat at Nathan's famous hot dog take out restaurant. It's a staple in BROOKLYN, NY.Parking: Depending on the time of day and season, it can be very difficult to find parking. The train is always of the best.

I visited Nathan's in Coney Island to try some hot dogs that are unique to New York. To be honest, it took an hour and a half each way on the subway, which is average, but the beach atmosphere was nice. The original is $5.49 and the chili cheese dog is $6.49 plus tax.

Awesome to visit where it all started back in 1916. Staff were friendly and the range was vast. Hotdogs, burgers thru to Clams and even frogs legs (I didn’t try). Big outdoor eating area to the side. Worth the visit.
