First time eating Sri Lankan cuisine. Delicious! Particularly liked the Deviled chicken, but everything we ordered was very good. And great to get out of the casinos and support a local business!

We come to the casinos once or twice a year and try to explore the area when here. As a result, we ended up at the Sri Lanka Restaurant. What a treat! Low key but convenient location. Modest looking inside but, man, the food was excellent. Definite overlap with Indian food but very distinctive flavoring. Everything was nicely cooked, interesting and very tasty. We got the chicken deviled dish, a fish kottu and lamb lumprais. We got the the last two on the owner's recommendation. All very good. We liked the deviled chicken so much that we ordered a second serving. Think the business is only about a half year old. Owner was completely charming, enthusiastic, accessible. These are pretty hard times to be opening a business. Impressively, she did and I'm rooting for her new restaurant. Rooting for her and selfishly I just want the restaurant around for whenever we return. Highly highly recommend

We ordered the kottu (chicken) and Srilankan dosa. Both were amazing dishes, very flavorful. Service was great too. Restaurant seemed very clean and well maintained. Will be going back when we're in this city again.

Came here and ordered the Mango Lassi drink along with Large Sri Lanka chicken. Customer service was pretty slow and needed to be more attentive as the waitresses were on their phone and talking to each other for a while when we were trying to get their attention with only 2 tables occupied. The food was ok, not bad but the portion size was a little small for what we paid. That being said I don't think I will be coming back here. But to be fair, the food was around 3.5-4 star. The business is located in a strip along other commercial businesses. There is street parking out front and as long as it's not busy you should be fine.

I went here twice during our stay in Atlatic City. Everything we tried was delicious. I liked the warm ambiance of the restaurant with traditional decor and Sri Lankan music which could be a good experience for a non-Sri Lankan. I'll definitely visit this restaurant again when I'm in Atlantic City.

The lunch buffet is amazing.. The standout was the eggplant amongst the other veg and non veg dishes.. completely worth the money.. The ambience is also very nice..

On a weekend getaway to Atlantic City and we found this place to satisfy both of our palates. We walked here from Atlantic Palace aResort which took about 10 minutes. When we arrive, the place was empty so we chose a table and sat down. The decor was basic, music television playing and the restaurant was clean. I wanted to try the lamprais dish with vegetables but couldn't get it without cashews. I ended up getting one of my traditional Indian go-tos, dal makhani. We also ordered samosas. The food was decent, my bf enjoyed his chicken biryani. The overall experience and service was okay.

Atlantic City might be the last place you'd expect to find authentic Sri Lankan cuisine--but here it was! Sri Lanka Restaurant served a menu of delicately spiced, homestyle Sri Lankan specialties with a focus on ingredients like rice, coconuts, and seafood. Our first pick from the menu was the Seafood "Deviled Dish"--this was a mixture of stir-fried shrimp, calamari, crispy fish fillets, spicy green & red peppers, and onions, all coated in a sticky sweet, savory, and spicy sauce, and served on a sizzling metal platter. The sticky red sauce definitely dominated the flavor of the dish, and I was especially a fan of the textures of the crispy fish and the plump, juicy shrimp and squid. Next, we had the String Hoppers, a plate of ten brown-colored discs made of rice noodles, served with mutton curry, kiri hodi (a vegetable and lentil soup), and coconut sambol (toasted shredded coconut) on the side. The hoppers themselves were flavorless, but they acted as the perfect vessel for the mutton curry, the earthy grated coconut, and my favorite part, the soup made of green beans, okra, carrots, lentils, and other vegetables. We also got a side of the freshly griddled pol roti (coconut roti), which were thick flatbreads made of shredded coconut and flour, served with a spicy red chili paste (lunumiris). But my favorite dish of all was the Lumprais, a beautifully-presented dish of basmati rice topped with meat curries, crispy kingfish fillets, eggplant, ash plantain, cashews, a tuna fritter, and a hard-boiled egg, all wrapped up in banana leaves. The flavors and textures of every single component of this rice dish were simply incredible.. the spices used were subtle yet distinct, and I relished every last bite! On top of the amazing food at this gem of a restaurant (which was only 5 months old on my visit), the service was super friendly and accommodating, and the dining room of the restaurant was surprisingly elegant and atmospheric!

We went here for lunch. They had a buffet. The food was fresh and good. There were a lot of vegetable sides. However the chicken curries were okay. They don't offer bread in lunch but has rice and noodle option. It was a good experience

Absolutely loved the food, hospitality, and decor. Delicious food at reasonable prices! Give this place a shot if you love Sri Lankan food or want to try it.

This was my first time trying Sri Lankan food (unless you count the time in college when the sister of a friend cooked for us during spring break) so I wasn't sure what to order, let alone what to expect. I ordered takeout including chicken lamprais, lamb curry and noodles and chicken tikka masala for the children. The lamprais was DELICIOUS! The food was perfectly seasoned and aromatic, and even my veggie-hating husband kept going back for more. The banana leaf wrapping, which is the signature element for lamprais, added to the flavor. Unfortunately, none of the other dishes stood up to the test. The chicken tikka masala and naan were ok. The lamb was too salty with and inadequate amount of rice. The noodles was nothing but bland with 3 tb sp worth of green chilies. This was very disappointing for something that cost $15. Needless to say that my noodle-loving kid had to eat something else for lunch that day. Nevertheless, I might still go back and order from them. I will just stick to authentic Sri Lankan food next time.

The very first day i went, i went at 9.36 pm. The guy said they were closed for dine in at 9.30. We were 6 mins late and he wouldnt let us sit. Ok cool i went back 2 days later at 9.15pm. One of the girl had me sit and came back saying they were closed for dine in at 9 pm and can only do take out. We were not in position of taking out and specifically went to dine in. They turned us down twice for few mins of difference. I can’t imagine how tired they could be to make more money. And not to mention the misinformation we kept getting about closing of dine in. Although there was a sign but one of the employee told us differently. Never tried sri-lankan food and just wanted to give it a shot but never going to this place for sure.

Working my way down the menu. So far so good. The deviled dishes were spiced up the way I like, the Naan is very good. Only criticism is sometime the meat seems slightly overcooked, and many pricing discrepancies between take out menu and website menu.

One of our friends said that they really liked this place so we wanted to try their food. Food was delicious, freshly made, the place is supper clean and has a nice authentic Sri lankan look. Price was reasonable. Staff is very friendly. I loved their short eats and koththu they were fresh and delicious just like what you get in Sri Lanka. We tried their buffet and the items on the menu. So far this is the best Sri lankan food I tried in US. We drove from Delaware to Atlantic city to try their food, it was a well worth trip. They also have separate area to accommodate private parties or events. Looking forward to visit this place again.
