I have been waiting a long time for a restaurant with sophisticated flavors and variety like this to open in Monmouth County. Difficult to label this place other than to say it rocks.

This place clearly knows how to take care of their clients. Constantly with a super friendly demeanor. The food is affordably priced, always yummy and neat.

The crisp eggplant was delicious! If you like sushi I recommend the Copper canyon and Ocean Blvd roll. The margheritas are great too!

A hidden gem inside the Blue Bay Inn! Inventive and delicious menu, great drinks and terrific service. We had nearly every small plate and several other dishes (sushi, burgers, salads, etc) and none disappointed! Fabulous spot!

So went to Higo for the first time tonight. Please please try this place. Food is delicious! Atmosphere comfortable & classy. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday they have live music. We didn't hear him but we heard he's wonderful. It's piano music & we'll try to go back on one of those nights. Pork buns are amazing! Andy the bartender is a real gem & makes a mean Manhattan & I hear he kills it when it comes to the Margaritas! You don't hear about this place but we've been to Copper Canyon & Gaslight both owned by the same proprietor & I have to say this one is our favorite!

Sushi? Asian cuisine? Just one star. Somebody should open sushi bar in the town.

Higo--Look for this place inside the Blue Bay Inn. On our recent visit the music was background, thank goodness, so we could converse easily. Dark, and convivial atmosphere. While ee enjoyed several appetizers we really liked the crispy, ungreasy calamari, and crispy shrimp--(the name of the dish.) You could enjoy this shrimp as an entree. The rolls we tried were good, but I have enjoyed others a little more noteworthy at other area sushi places. All good, no complaints on freshness; we will return: this was only a second visit. I am a local and looking forward to winter visits to all our AH restaurants!

If you're looking for a consistent, high-quality sushi place with other options on the menu.... look no further! I was first introduced to Higo in Spring 2019 as a Copper Canyon frequenter. When sitting at Copper Canyon (Higo's sister restaurant next door), I tried Higo's "Copper Canyon Roll" and "Ocean Blvd Roll." I must have been lucky because I picked the 2 best rolls on the menu. They are comparable to Nobu sushi rolls for a fraction of the price. The Copper Canyon roll is loaded with fresh avocado and spicier, while the Ocean Blvd is sweeter and crunchier. Ever since, I've been hooked. I have probably had 30+ Higo sushi rolls since then. I've also ventured out on the menu and tried the Shishito peppers which are grilled and salted to perfection. My family has loved the beef, rice, and shrimp tempura. Whether sitting at Copper Canyon and ordering Higo's signature roll, or sitting inside Higo experiencing their full menu, you can't go wrong. Consistent experience every time with the same Copper Canyon flair. Great drinks, great food, great employees. And yes, you can enjoy the infamous smokin' margarita at Higo! Helpful tip: if you feel like eating at home, you can call Higo and order for pickup! This is a lifesaver.
