Went for the first time as my brother recommended it and unfortunately it wasn't a good experience and my brother was with me and felt horrible that his one time was good and this time wasn't good.We got a few orders of Fried Calamari and would have been ok if they didn't put grated cheese on all the orders. Then my nieces mussels did not taste good at all and a few we're closed. My wife's chicken dish the chicken was over cooked and was tough. My wide ordered my daughter chicken fingers and asked the waiter how many pieces come in the order and he misunderstood and brought out 3 orders of chicken fingers not one order that we asked for.We brought the issues to the owners wife and said her husband who is the cook stepped away so that maybe that's why things were off and brought a $40 gift card to use in the future. The bill came and was almost $400 and nothing was credited back for the issues.Safe to say they won't have to worry about the $40 gift card because we won't be back !Edit: based on anyone who reviews this place the establishment and has anything negative to say they come back to attack or make it seem like it's the customers fault and $40 dollar gift card is hardly a GENEROUS OFFER on a $400 bill !!! And Lastly it popped up on my Google to review the place so regardless if someone else from our table reviewed you and your weren't happy with that review I'm allowed to review it as another customer! So nobody should disregard my review as it's totally warranted,Sorry that it wasn't a 5 star review and sorry your not happy with my input but this it is what it is when you own a business not everything is going to be good review!!!

I have been there before and food was decent. This time complete disaster. Escarole and bean soup was a cup of broth with no beans a few pieces of crushed tomato a sliver of escarole a clove of garlic served cold. The muscles had a foul taste and all orders were messed up. Salad wilted and drowned with dressing to cover it up. Fried calamari had a ton of grated cheese on it. Maybe their preference but not ours and not described on menu. . Cook was.not in kitchen is what we were told he was busy next door at their other business. One of the worst meals I have had. Mentioned to owner and the only thing she offered was a gift to come back. That’s not happening. Over $300 for meal. Not looking for free food but none of this was on us.

The pizza at this place is gross! Have no idea what type of pizza dough they use, taste is flat with a disgusting aftertaste… they should be ashamed to associate themselves with the word Italian yuck?

East Bay has dispelled the myth. You CAN get excellent pizza and Italian food at the Jersey Shore! Matt has brought a gem to the Barnegat area, that will be my go-to for many years to come. The pizza, the meatballs, the Famous Sliced Filet Mignon entree was unbelievable! The whole place, from the historic Barnegat neighborhood, the Sycamore trees and ample parking in the back, oozes class and food the in this place is top notch. Matt, thanks for giving me a reason go off my diet in my new neighborhood. I look forward to trying everything on the menu at this incredible place!Parking: In the back of the restaurant.

We had dinner at the restaurant last night, after visitation for my uncle’s funeral. The restaurant was ready for thirty of us. This last minute reservation came together real quick with the assistance of Matthew the owner. He allowed us to make some changes to the group menu to accommodate the Lenten season. The staff was courteous and responsive, everyone enjoyed the Penne Vodka and their Salmon and Flounder entree’s. There was live music, adding to ambiance, as he played request from the guests. The restaurant was ideal in keeping everybody close together yet offered ample space to gather and enjoy the bottles of wine we were allowed to bring.

I went in for an espresso tonight. $6 dollar are you serious???? No crema only foam. Big no-no for an Italian restaurant.

East Bay Italian Grill at one time, made a very good pizza unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. I recently experienced an incorrect order and a second occasion where I waited ninety minutes for a pizza they said would arrive in about a half hour. After today, we’re done.I order the same pizza every time; a thin crust, well done large pizza with light sauce, garlic and onion. What I received IN TWENTY MINUTES, which I thought was outstanding for a Saturday evening was a warm, not hot, regular crust, undercooked pizza that stretched when I bit into it, with half cooked onions and possibly some garlic powder for $23.00. The rest of the order totaled the bill to $52.00 with the tip. They used to make a very good pizza and I’m sorry to have to take my business elsewhere and to even have to post this review.

Sunday night full house, had reservations and only waited a few min past our time. Server Reannah came promptly & was very attentive during the entire meal. Ordered a pitcher of red sangria ( full size water pitcher)which we heard was delicious and it was.!! 2 apps , Burrata & Arancini, the arancini were ice cold in middle, advised server of issue, she apologized and had us a fresh hot order before we finished the other app, no big deal, they were delish. An order of Gnocchi Sorrento with a sauce change was no problem, very good dish.. Rigatoni Pizzaiola was amazing.. had to be a 1/2 lb. of steak tips in there..sauce & seasonings were perfect. Nice fresh warm Italian bread for the table. Go hungry or plan on taking home leftovers. We will return. Nice little hidden gem in Barnegat

I ordered a few slices and the server picked up the old, stale slices with his bare hands and tossed them in the oven. I left a minimal tip, and heard several of the workers complaining loudly about the tip. I don’t understand the entitlement to more of my money for warming up gross pizza slices in an unsanitary way. I would not go here again.

Food came out before appetizer. I had the Manicotti and it was cold and was just a big lump of uncooked cheese. I could not eat it. Server was very pleasant though. Gave our appetizer to take home. When we got home we tried to eat the stuffed mushrooms but they were a lump of cold melted cheese. Will not be going back.

My favorite meatballs ever! Nonas! The broccoli rob and sausage panini- was great and the salad- we've eaten in and taken out both a great experience! - service is on point and the interior is classic Italian jersey!

Ordered 6:31pm Saturday night. Three meals. I called back 4 minutes later to add a large pie. The food came first… cold. Tried to reheat the meals… no one wanted re heated dry thin chicken. Driver explained they never gave him the pie. Nearly 2 hours later the pie showed up. Ice cold like it was left in the car for an hour. I called in, mentioned the service and quality. I was told they’re busy with only one driver. I said that’s not my problem. That should’ve been mentioned when I ordered. Not a single apology from the driver or child on the phone. $100 in cold food that went in the garbage. Sadly I wasn’t going to post a review after I dined in three nights in a row recently. But now I will. I ordered a piece of cannoli cheese cake and a peanut butter pie. The cheese cake was dry, stale and tasted like it was left over from acme for a few weeks. Had someone else try it and they nearly choked. I politely told the waiter (young boy) seems like that’s a common themed employee there. I said I’m sorry I cannot eat this, he laughed and said ok. Takes the plate walked away. I was still charged for this powder dry cake…we were tired and by that time annoyed. Food was decent so I didn’t make it a big deal. I just tipped accordingly. And no it’s not my job to ask for a manager. $700 in meals within the last week and I was treated like a pheasant over the phone. Never again.
