“Absokutely loved this for a quick grab! The pork belly buns: 8.5/10The seasoning tasted almost like korean fried chicken or bulgogi seasoning? Very good but definitey messy to eat!Fish bucket: 9/10Pretty filling. Has veggies and rice, which really makes it a whole meal on its own!“
“Yes and Yes again! To begin, when I walked in everyone said hello. I was unsure of what I wanted and even a bit annoying if I am honest. The gentleman answered all my questions and made suggestions. The food...grilled chicken....amazing...juicy, well seasoned and cleaned...will return and recommend.“
“My sister and I were in NYC for our girls trip and decided to trek across the Brooklyn bridge and have dinner in Brooklyn. We came across this charming restaurant. Food was delicious and our server Scarlett was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and she did not disappoint. Next time I’m in Brooklyn, I’ll definitely be eating here. The guacamole was amazing and the lobster roll was heavenly.“
“Went here 10 years ago and pleased to say that it's still just as good! Just more expensive now (I paid 16), but that's the current times. Maybe because I'm older , I appreciate fish even more now. I got a regular cod and chips. Fish was soft and flaky , crispy batter. That tartar sauce is crack ! Chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside. This is a great spot for your fish and chips craving. The establishment is a bit hot and toasty inside though. There are seats outside , or you can go to the nearby park to enjoy your meal.“
“Incredible hot lobster roll!! Finally found a good one in Brooklyn. Just like the ones from New Smyrna Beach, but even MORE lobster- i devoured it. Great service too. Started off browsing the fresh seafood, but then the young lady read my mind and gave me a menu. Beautiful decor . A great new addition to 3rd Ave!“
“I am excited to share my dining experience at The Thistle with you! The warmth and kindness of the hostess created a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere from the moment I arrived. It was refreshing to be greeted with such genuine hospitality, making dinner even more enjoyable. I immediately ordered exactly what I had been craving for. THE ORIGINAL THISTLE FISH & CHIPS! Satisfying my craving was precisely what I was aiming for. Perfection in a delightful crispy batter, paired with golden "chips" fries, tater sauce and coleslaw. [Don't be shy to ask for more tartar sauce.] It's a BYOB spot, so don't forget your favorite bottle of wine or beer, which goes great with fish! I'll be sure to bring a bottle the next time I go. Can't wait to go back.“
“I was craving some Thai spices and food and found this place. The first thing I noticed is a B rating from the inspection. Secondly, they do not serve anything besides beer or allow you to bring your own. The service was ok; the girl did not have a lot of interest in use. The menu looked promising, but once we ordered, the food flavors were underwhelming. I wished they got more favor in soups, and it felt like the soup was diluted rather than having that umami flavor that I expect from Thia cuisine. The place is just ok, nothing special.“
“Wow! I usually only order fried wings from the Chinese food place but I decided to order this on Uber eats and I’m so happy I went with my instincts! The chicken wings were not only flavorful, but they were so crispy!! 10/10! I’ll be ordering again!“
“Food was great. The gentleman who served us was so caring and friendly. We had Calamari, Surf and Turf chicken, shrimp and fish. Yummy! We stayed at L Hotel and Ocean Eats was down the block. We took the food to go but you can sit and eat there. We will be back soon. Thanks Ocean Eats.“
“They have the best gyro bowl in the city and the people who work there have the best respect for costumers and they have the best food in Newark so I recommend you come to King wings.Vegetarian options: I would recommend the house because the lettuce is so fresh and good I would like to eat it all day“
“Really fresh seafood fried crisp and moist. Shrimp and Flounder with a huge side of rice and fried plantains. Got serious full on $20. Very friendly service. One thing to know is that they do not have menus so you should ask how much your meal will cost after you pick your items.“
“The best fried fish in town. Small husband and wife joint. Nothing fancy to witness but you can appreciate the food they serve it’s such a hidden gem and it’s my all time favorite spot. Took my friend here for lunch today for the first time and he said the best beans in this area hands down.“
“My husband and I went for lunch, we were pleased to find out they have lunch specials. You can get selected entrees with either a soup, salad or beverage. I got it with the soup, a cup of lobster bisque, very pretty but I didn't capture a photo. I wouldn't get the bisque with a sandwich again because although tasty, it's very creamy, very heavy and it filled me up so I couldn't enjoy my sandwich as much. Next time, I'll combo the beverage. My husband very much enjoyed his lobster roll, it was very good.“
“Solid fried catfish platter. You can split the fish for two people and make a couple of sandwiches ? it’s delicious and simple. The dine in situation is ok but it’s kind of in a weird spot in the neighborhood… so we got it to go. If you’re in the mood for fried fish, this is the place. Grab n Go ????“
“Title: Terrace Fish & Chips: A Pleasant Surprise in Lower ManhattanReview:Dinner at Terrace Fish & Chips on Pearl Street was a refreshing change from the usual bustling eateries of New York. The place had a bare-bones setup with seating that's hard to come by, hinting at an almost exclusive experience for those who stumble upon it.It struck me odd that a restaurant in such a busy slice of the city would be so quiet at 4:15 p.m., but the peace was welcome. One person was holding down the fort, but his demeanor was warm and professional, ensuring my meal was on the table without delay.Diving into the menu, the choice was simple—the day's special caught my attention. The Fried Flounder with Fresh Fries came out piping hot and in abundance. The flounder was fried to a satisfying crispness, hiding the tender fish within, while the fries maintained their crisp even as they cooled—a pleasing duo by any measure. However, the fried calamari I added on the side didn't quite hit the mark. It was missing the expected burst of taste, which contrasted with the otherwise flavorful meal.I washed it all down with a diet coke—the only option since the place doesn't serve alcohol, which suited me just fine. The presentation was no-frills, with the meal served in simple takeaway containers accompanied by disposable utensils. This was ideal for me, especially needing a quick bite after a trip to Staten Island and heading home. So, if you're around the Ferry Terminal and need a fast, delicious seafood dish, this spot could be worth the stop. Although the calamari was a bit of a letdown, the rest of the meal made up for it, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I give it four stars for the food and the hassle-free dining experience.“
“I go to Duncan's at least two to three times a week if I can and I love the people who work there... They treat me well and the food is always great. Thus far I have no complaints... I've been going to Duncan's for almost 20 years.. He was on myrtle and Vanderbilt then moved to where he is now... The best and I wish he were on Dekalb and Saint James I'd be there every other day!!!!! Slam me slam me slam me!!!!!“
“Really accurate food. It's not a full-flavored bite or tempting new flavors. It's fish and chips, as it should be, in the most accurate way.Good luck tasting another one after this.Other than that the place itself is ordinary, just a diner in Times Square. I didn't understand why not vent the place, it's really hard to sit inside.“
“El mejor lugar de alitas de pollo es aquí, soy clienta desde hace 2 meses que abrieron en Lyons Avenue y Bergen street, toda la comida la sirven muy limpia, les recomiendo mucho las ensaladas de camarón y los drum sticks, no olviden de pedir su postre para después de su comida, todos los postres están deliciosos, les sugiero el sweet potato cheesecake, uno de mis favoritos“
“I stopped by here after getting off the train I was a little hungry I ordered boneless chicken they were a little hard I didn’t care cause I was hungry the manager ( Indian man ) saw me struggling to eat them cause they were hard came to me and apologized offer me another order and came and gave me an order of fries and apologized for a fast food restaurant I was surprised normally they don’t care I really appreciate this he was very nice that’s how you take care of your guest and I hope his establishment is very successful excellent customer service“
“It's always good to patronize our local businesses that serve with love and care. C Food Palace on Madison Ave & Myrtle Ave. Irvington, NJ was a great find for me today. I've passed by many times and finally decided to stop in today. Boy am I glad I did. My food was fresh and very tasty from the fish to the shrimp, down to the rice. If you ever want some good seafood you won't have to go far. C Food Palace will be my new go to now. Check them out. Good Eats.“
“I always walk past by this fast food joint. The halal sign made me intrigued to come in and try something different. I ordered hot wings and it tasted no different than any other place so don’t let that be a deterrent. It was salty, spicy and tasty. Would recommend it!“
“Food is good everytime I go there. Never had a problem. Just remember if you're going to order fish preferably the catfish over the phone. They make it when you come there so it can made fresh, which I like. I usually get the wing n catfish comb with “
“I'm not sure if it's a store tradition, but I should have known that you were going to serve me cold mac and cheese. Overall, the fried whiting dinner was excellent, and the fried shrimp dinner was passable but a little overcooked. Nevertheless, I gave you guys four stars without a doubt.“
“Mostly crunchy coating on the calamari- it's not flaky like most other places, instead it's crumb-y (see pic for reference). Good flavor in the crust, and the squid pieces were cut from an actual whole squid, so you get fun little pointy pieces too. The squid itself was on the softer side, not as chewy as squid usually is. The marinara sauce was very disappointing, tasted watery (and just sorta bad). The portion size was a bit smaller than I would have liked. Ordered on ubereats ahead of time, but I don't think they started making it until I showed them I was there to pick up my order. I would recommend just showing up and ordering at the counter, you save on extra processing fees and you don't lose much on time. Inside has a few tables and chairs in front of the counter, enough to seat a little more than 10 people max I'd estimate. The owners/employees seem nice and efficient.“
