Why this is my forever bakery....I never write reviews, but here comes a long one, here are the reasons this is my forever bakery after 1 visit:1. I showed up on the day before my daighters birthday to pick up vegan cupcakes. BTW, these are the best, cheapest vegan cupcakes you can ever get. I had failed at a baking project for my daughter's birthday the night before and was distraught. I walked in to the friendliest young woman who told me "sure, whatever you want 24 hours prior." She showed me some pictures for a vegan cake and a mermaid themed cake for later the next day, and a third cake for 48 hours later. I lobed all of them, she had great taste. I couldn't have been more grateful for the last minute save.2. Next, I thought this is going to cost me and arm and a leg. But, I have paid more for one cake than I paid for all these 30 cupcakes and 3 cakes, only to be disappointed. It felt like family pricing.3. The cakes were absolutely GORGEOUS and impressed all who saw them4. The cakes smelled amazing and caught the attention of anyone I walked past carrying the cake5. The cupcakes were vegan chocolate and Whipped cream topping, 1 vegancake thar was cookies and cream, and 2 fresh strawberries and Whipped cream filled vanilla cakes. All of them tasted AMAZING and so so fresh. Even people who didn't like cake, including myself, loved how light and tasty they were6. Everyone working in that bakery is so nice and accomodating, the sweetest staff I've ever seenI will shout over the rooftops for this bakery. Thank you so much for making my daughter's birthday so special and delicious! I have been going to Paulanto's Bakery for YEARS now. I am so blessed that it's so close to my home. Everything I've ever bought there has been sooo very good - from bread to Italian pastries to cookies to donuts to their wonderful cakes and all at reasonable prices. I recently had occasion to order a bit of a complicated birthday cake. The nice, friendly women on the phone very politely and accurately took my instructions and correctly conveyed them to the baker. The end result was sooo delicious! It was a rather large cake and everyone who ate it absolutely LOVED it and wanted more! Paulanto's, please keep up your most excellent work, stay at your current location and DO NOT give in to the condo developers!

Adding that I got a custom cake for my birthday and it was delicious!! It was not too sweet, very flavorful and moist and just gorgeous. I asked for vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and chocolate pudding layers with chocolate ganache on the top and pink icing flowers and pink happy birthday lettering. I loved it!! It was 10" and under $50

I’ve never considered to rate this bakery cuz I always have good service, except for a girl that always give wrong order on propuse even I specified what I wanted, but she is not attentive she saw that I had a lot of things in my hands and she never give me a cup holder, I had to asked her every time, but today I gave up I did not ask for a cup holder and just left, (even the coffees were hot), when I arrived home I saw wrong order, I couldn’t believe it, cuz was small order. Anyways I’ll continue buying there cuz everybody is great except for that lady, June/8/2024,

My boyfriend ordered a cake from here for me for my birthday. When trying to pick him up they told him that someone already picked it up. They claim that the person verified the name on cake & phone number on order. They are liars, I do not have a common name & my boyfriend has Louisiana phone number, as he does not live here. If they accidentally gave the wrong cake to a customer, or they never made it, they should've just said that and gave a refund. Instead they stuck to their lies and wouldn't even pull the cameras to show who picked up the cake. Very bad business and still never offered a refund or to remake the cake!!

Amazing! Best bakery in Bayonne. And maybe a lot of places. I had a slice of the coconut cake. It was rich, not too sweet and had a lot of coconut in it. I liked the texture, it had a good bite to it. I could only finish half. It was around $3, I also got half a dozen rainbow cookies for about $8 and they were some of the best I’ve had. The chocolate was rich and decadent, and had a crunch to it. It was in a thick layer but not too thick. The whole cookie was so moist and it just melts in your mouth. I also got half a dozen butter cookies for $6. This place is like half the price of the bakery on 34th street which charges 24 a pound for butter cookies. You can’t get a better deal than this bakery. I loved it from the moment I walked in. Lots of holiday decorations and Christmas music playing in the background. The woman who served me was very nice. I will definitely go back.
