This Restaurant means so much for my family and I. Ever since the first time that we came here we were hooked! Just alone the atmosphere, the joy and smiles from everyone enjoying the time. An amazing staff that is ready to greet you and cook some really delicious seafood. With good music and drinks what else can you ask for. Thank you for your service, we truly appreciate it. Our friends took us to try the food and it did not disappoint. The salad dressings were so good I had to buy some to take home. The tuna was phenomenal. Drinks were good but pricey. Gets crowded, so I would recommend going early.

Yummy seafood restaurant. The salad dressing combination recommended by our server seemed weird, but it was great.

The seafood was all fresh and tasty. I guess I should know better than order jambalaya in New JerseyTwo cocktails were made well and the wine was fineApparently they are famous for their salad dressings which were slightly above averageOur server Jen was outstandingDietary restrictions: They easily accommodated a gluten allergy and make sure that all items were safety to eat

Just left here. Awful!!! 42.00 for 7 sea scallops covered in disgusting old bay and cayenne pepper, which was not mentioned on the menu. Also 17.00 for 6 small shrimp with cocktail sauce. Salad was a basic bag salad with iceberg lettuce and shredded carrot. This place charged gourmet prices for subpar food. Will never, ever return.

Great service, wonderful food. Shout out to the woman running the reservations/ seating. She was amazing at running the show on a busy Presidents’ Day. Our server (Sarah) was friendly and made great recommendations. Nice hearing live music ! Only negative it can get so so loud.

Buffalo Calamari rocks! Exceptional. Drinks and entrees were really good as was the service on a very busy Saturday night. We did have to wait for our table (no resy) but wait was shorter than anticipated.

We recently had dinner at the Black Whale to celebrate my husbands birthday. We do not recommend this restaurant nor will we return. The food was good but not worth the prices. I ordered a Manhattan which to my surprise cost $22. We ordered calamari and had to ask 3 times if it was ordered. It finally arrived after we had eaten our salads. We were told by the manager that the appetizers follow the salad. The server had an attitude that I did not appreciate as well.

Been to the Black Whale many times but after tonight I've come to the conclusion that it's not for me. I do like the food but the atmosphere is just too loud and bustling. Very low ceilings and close tables don't help. The salad is standard but the 'secret' of mixing the two dressings make it super tasty. Calamari app was also standard but fresh and nicely fried. I really enjoyed my clams with chorizo and linguine. Although I wish the bread that came with it had been toasted as it was stale. Would have enjoyed my dunking more! The service was friendly and efficient but felt slightly rushed. The longtime hostess surely knows how to run the show (no easy task!) but can be just a bit abrupt. Perhaps understandably. If you plan to go, two things. Have a reservation or you will absolutely positively have a long wait. And if you are going with kids, save money by getting them a beer. Joking of course but my daughter's chocolate milk (with hardly any chocolate) was $6 and my Yuengling draft (cold and fresh) was $5. Go figure. Lastly, I'm old school but don't like signing the bill via a handheld device. Sever was nice and I'm sure if we asked it could have been printed. But happened so quickly/felt awkward so we just rolled with it.

Food is great! I really like the food here. The service is good too. Ambiance is good it depends where you are sitting in the room.
