I was working on LBI, stopped at Jacks NYC Bagels, walked in to place an order, there was a gentleman with gray hair sitting at a table, and a girl standing behind the counter watching tv, the gentlemen looked at her motioned to her, pointing to me. The girl turned looked at me, then turned back and continued watching tv. I think if he was the owner he would have gotten up and said something to her. He just kind of shook his head. Really how RUDE can you be. You are getting paid to do a job. Do it! If I was the owner that rude bitch would not be working with the public. She would not be in my restaurant. To the owner hire someone who wants to work, be sociable, maybe someone that care about your business and they're job. She was really rude! Hire better help.Mark A

This place's specialties are a suck sandwich and despicable customer service. If you're looking to indulge in a delicious sandwich served with a smile, look the other way. Jack, I used to dream about being a teacher or an astronaut or a doctor but I've decided my new passion in life is to dissuade any potential customers from ever entering your deli. I was given the wrong order and then refused any kind of refund or exchange. Was given the excuse "you left the store with it". If I ever unravel my sandwich to check for accuracy while standing in the store, call the ward and check me in because that is psychotic behavior. I'm thinking about starting a GoFundMe for the unfortunate employees that are suffering under his reign. Jack is the epitome of crotchety old man and I hope he either learns compassion or his business suffers tremendously.

Walked in ordered 3 sandwiches all on bagels. 2 ham and Swiss one turkey all with Swiss cheese. Total $46 dollars. Owner indicated they are the same price as a hero. Cancel ordered ordered 1 ham & Swiss 1 bagel $17. This place is a rip off stay away!

Food is delicious and portions are quite large. Jack's sandwiches usually last me two meals (and I can eat!). If you're eating a whole sandwich in one sitting and complaining about price, you need to reevaluate your life. Jack's is my go-to for sandwiches in Beach Haven!

First words out of his mouth when we walked in the door were "what do you want" after we said hello and good morning. Terrible service. When paying, doesn't even tell us the total just said "do your thing" when it came to payment. Absolutely stunned. It's funny how the person paying for their food is nicer than the people who are receiving the money. If you want a side of bad attitude with your bagels, this is your place. If not, avoid at all costs.
Just what you need near your shore house. For coffee. For a bagel in the morning. For your sandwich for the beach.

Parking is in the back. I was greeted by friendly staff who quickly took my order, a THE&C on a Kaiser roll, Bacon Egg and cheese on an everything bagel, a Pureleaf tea and a Gatorade. We sat outside in rhe morning sun and enjoyed our meal. Jack did not skimp on anything and the sanwiches were excellent. Bagels are baked onsite. Definitely recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp from the parking in back to the front door.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious! We came in because someone brought a baguette over for dinner and we had to check them out for ourselves. There was a table of rude teenagers but the staff was super nice and patient regardless of their attitudes. Great bread, bagels, and sandwiches. I have been here multiple times throughout the year, as we live in beach haven year round. Food is usually good and only reason I go there is bc bagel shack is insanely busy in the summer. We’ll never be back here. $27.50 for a pork roll egg and cheese on a bagel and a BLT (which had barely any bacon! Maybe two slices if that!) highway robbery!!! Any other time we have been there it was never that expensive, price gouging at its finest.Fraud poster? Look at all of your other recent posts. We were there pretty regularly but the price of 2 bagel sandwiches to be almost $30 is aDisgrace. I still have the receipt from this morning.I’ll be sure to bring it by tomorrow.
