I was getting cravings last night for their key lime pie. It's one of the best, if not the best, that I've had. We live local and happened upon this place because we were on our way to a comedy show.I was happy we did because the food was great. We had the fish sandwich, (haddock) crab cakes, and steak bites. The food was exceptionally fresh and good. You know when you take a good piece of fish and cook it correctly. The crab cakes, with more crab than breading and also cooked the way it should be, are not overdone. The people were nice we didn't wait long and the only reason I give it 4 stars is it's more of a pub than a restaurant. Other than that, it's 5 stars. It is on my list of places to go back to, and I think i have to go back because the key lime pie is calling me.I just don't get why anyone would give this place any one star. The food alone did not deserve it.

Great shore bar and restuarant. Excellent service, great bartenders and a changing menu with the season. All at a very good price. Good music on weekends. Closed for season.

Food is typical bar food but at 5 star prices. Expect to pay $20 for 3-4 scallops depending on the size of the scallop. The street corn was awful. The kernels were deflated in a way that shows it wasn't freshly prepared and was given time to dehydrate a bit. The flavoring on it wasn't good at all. To top it off, it was presented in a very pretentious manner with a large handful of greens garnishing it that had to be picked off. Very overpriced for the poor experience.Service was good. Both the host and waitress were great. The atmosphere was about what you'd expect from a crowded local bar, which is disappointing considering the identity crisis of the place. It fancies itself as a "Restaurant and Bar" according to the website, but rest assured that it is simply a bar. Seating is tight, it is very crowded, and even if you are in the back room away from the bar, they will begin blasting music louder than a concert in the middle of the meal.Honestly not sure how people think the Terrible Tavern is any good. Clearly the patrons must be drunk to the point where even bar food tastes like gourmet.

Great little spot - big, beautiful bar and great outdoor dining area! I highly recommend the Red Hot and Blue Eggs Rolls, Jersey Special and the Miami Vice!

Elote was salty and had an odd seasoning. Never tasted this kind of elote before. Def not authentic. Loaded fries with clam chowder was spicy. Soggy. And not anything what we expected. Steak bites weren't bad. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Food was ok and incredibly overpriced for what you get. Place looks like a dive bar with 4 star pricing. Staff is o, not friendly but not rude.

Calamari was overcooked, the street corn was also overcooked. People in our group seemed to like the salads. Atmosphere was great.

Came on a busy Sunday of holiday weekend. Staff was super friendly and attentive despite the fact they were packed out and had multiple large tables.

I have visited The Terrace Tavern occasionally for decades, but this was my first visit to the outdoor Backyard Bar. Service was a bit spotty and could have been a bit more attentive, but what was lacking in attentiveness was definitely made-up for in seemingly genuine friendliness. A good time was had imbibing adult beverages, enjoying tasty and very reasonably priced happy food and listening to live music. It was an enjoyable visit.

Very good place. Steamed clams were yummy. Burger was average. Fried calamari was average. Atmosphere was fun. Menu options good. Surprisingly good selection of wines by the glass and bottle. I would definitely stop by again. A bit more pricey than I expected having eaten out of a cardboard box. Kid friendly in the indoor section.

We have eaten here a number of times. The service was always nice and friendly. The food no matter what we got was always excellent. Drinks were always perfect. Great place to eat and drink in this little bar that is nice and relaxing.

We came after a long day venturing around the island. We sat outside and listened to live music and had great eats. I got the French onion burger and it was really good! We also had the friend calamari and the Caesar salad which had anchovies on it, would definitely recommend that as well.Great spot and Delaware oyster is right next door if you want to stop by before or after!French onion burgerFried calamariCaesar salad
