The only negative was our server. We sat with dirty plates on our table for at least 30 minutes. We wanted to order dessert but feared we would have to wait 30 minutes to receive it. From what we observed, she was not able to perform more than one task at a time. For example, after serving cocktails to a neighboring table, she could have picked up our dirty plates that we had strategically placed at the empty seat at our table. Instead, she walked right past them empty handed. The menu is appealing with something offered for everyone. Food is always very good. For that reason, we will always come back. But if we are seated with the same server, we will definitely asked to be moved.
Our waitress Cheryl was very nice and attentive. We had ordered appetizers, sushi & entrees and she brought everything out in a manner that we hadn't felt overwhelmed with the amount of food we got (which definitely was a lot-by choice!) even though we initially told her we had no preference if the sushi came before or with entrees. But very appreciative she had the sushi come before dinner. The flounder francaise was very good- a little odd that it was served over fresh spinach, not steamed, however I also got fettuccine with it and understand everyone has different preferences so truly it didn't bother me. The bread was also really yummy as well as the calamari. I never thought of myself as a sushi fan, but after trying the crab, avocado & tuna roll and the salmon roll- I am definitely reconsidering. It was so fresh & delicious! Thanks to Engleside for an awesome date night with amazing food & atmosphere.

Had another great meal with a wonderful server, Willa. There are other fine restaurants on the island, but none with the varied menu, excellent sushi bar and great drinks like the Engleside!

We enjoyed our dinner here. The food was delicious, and drinks were yummy. The service was slow, and our waitress was polite but not particularly friendly. The service may not have been her fault. It was a busy Saturday early evening, so the kitchen was most likely backed up. But no drink refills were offered until we finally asked her. Soup and appetizers were brought out for 2 of the 4 in our party, but the salads for the other 2 were never brought out until the first 2's empty plates were removed.None of these were deal breakers. I just offered to you as an FYI. We will go back again, and I recommend trying it!

Never had a bad meal here. Consistently good food and nice that they include rolls and salad but ambiance is lacking a little. Wish they'd consider getting rid of all the dark wood and lightening up the decor a little. Guests are skeptical when we bring them here but always enjoy their dinner!

Always outstanding. I take my wife there every year for her Birthday and Valentines Day, never disappoints. Service great, perfect table, host greets us by name, food is superb, just an outstanding experience each and every time. It's become our tradition for the February occasions. Thank you to Pete, Chris and all the team there, simply the best on LBI.

Since this was their first night back I thought maybe they mught have at least cleaned the place and updated it. No such luck. 3 of the five meals were gross.I ordered a medium rare prime rib and was served a raw slab of fat and gristle with a .59 "steak knife" that wouldn't cut butter. The wasabi crusted tuna was "caked" rather than crusted and had to be scraped in order to eat. The sushi and goat cheese flatbread were good. Service was excellent. We all left with "doggie bags". Fed the prime rib to the dogs. We will probably go back as we've been going to Engleside for over 40 years. This was not the first atrocious meal but they usually are much better than this.

Excellent dining experience, great food, good service at a reasonable price point! Ambiance of dining area was very nice, just a bit on the louder side, but will definitely return for the quality of the food and variety of menu items offered.

Clams casino were small, but very tasty. My panko scallops were just ok. Too much breading and slightly over cooked. I didn't enjoy them. My husband's prime rib was delicious. Perfectly cooked and very tender. I should have ordered that! Service was good but serious. It was New Years Eve, so our server was very busy!
