This is about the 5th time we dined there. Everything was perfect!! This is FINE DINING!! Not your average restaurant. Food is prepared to perfection, beautiful atmosphere and they treat you like a King and Queen. I can't recommend The Gables enough!! Just excellent.

Lovely place to spend Easter brunch greeted warmly by all staff the place was decorated with pansies and roses and candles. Brunch for the two of us, we selected the artichoke soup with poached lobster, the asparagus galette, the lamb shepherds pie, the buckwheat crêpe with ham and egg and for dessert we topped it off with chocolate trifle and toffee carrot cake. The food was phenomenal. The service was excellent. A perfect brunch if there ever was one.

Everything is always perfect when I'm dining at Gables. Service is kind and attentive, patrons are respectful and happy, and the prix fixe options are wonderful. I can't emphasize the ambiance enough, it's beautiful and peaceful, my usually loud family is at such ease at Gables that we're too busy indulging to speak and communicate in low grunts and sighs of approval of the drinks and food.

My fiance and I really enjoyed our dinner at Gables, having been there before. What made it even more enjoyable, the waitress we had was so good at her taking care of us, and her knowledge of the menu made it easier to pick our meals. Also, knowing her from previous establishments on the island contributed to having a great time and making sure we will be back again. Kudos to Steve and his wife for bringing ambiance as well as great food to Gables!
Our experience could not have been better. The food was wonderful. The Gables is one of our favorite places. This was a special celebration . Everything was perfect, the atmosphere, food, service were beyond compare. I want to thank Karly, Rosie and everyone who made the dinner so special.

All of our food was amazing! The room we were in had a heater which made it a little too warm but they turned it down when we asked Our server was great but the only complaint we had was that we felt a little rushed - we had a 6:30 reservation and by 7:45 we had the bill - which was a little rushed considering we had 3 courses - we would have liked a little more time in between each course

The Gables is THE finest upscale restaurant on LBI, with a NY association of elegance and fine dinning. The owners are superb hosts and its fine dining only selection on any and all occasions. I challenge you to find better in the region, let alone, LBI. Stay home if you're a self-appointed foodee The Bonannis
We loveddd it. We went the Friday after Valentine's Day around 8:30 it wasn't too packed. We got to meet the owner and we were given a gift from the kitchen. We loved trying something new. We loved the live music that was playing and even thought the pianists didn't know the song we requested he played similar songs and we absolutely loved it. We loved the food and the wine. It was amazing and I would love to go again.

Gables is one of our favorite restaurants, which is why we wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day (2024) there. As usual, it was a very enjoyable, outstanding experience - from the appetizer to dessert. For the entree, I had the Bershire pork chop and hubs had the duck. Both were delicious (we shared). The ambiance is high romance (super charming) and the the live pianio music is divine. Last but not least, the wonderful bread they serve is fresh from NYC :)
Every member of the staff was courteous and thoughtful. We were treated very well and in a relaxed, respectful way. Dining at the Gables was a warm, delightful experience, with the owner unexpectedly chatting with us. First class!
The place is beautiful, our appetizers and desserts were amazing and delicious. Our main course was not the best my husband had the duck and I had the pork chop. Meat was not flavored enough for our taste. I would definitely give it another try in the summer when their menu changes.

We celebrated our anniversary this past weekend and our first time at the Gables was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. The restaurant has such a beautiful atmosphere and charm as well. We would definitely recommend for a romantic evening out and will 100% be back soon! P.S the flowerless chocolate cake is to die for ?

Wonderful in all ways. Romantic festive atmosphere. The food gets better and better every year. Gourmet cuisine artfully prepared and meticulously presented. The restaurant was packed and yet the noise level was low. We go every year for the Xmas holidays and in July for my husband's birthday. Thank you!
