Came here for a quick pit stop to try out the famous cider place. Their cider was so crisp and flavorful, wanted to try all of them! Was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, Doggo and kids friendly, they have heating outside which was nice

Great local spot for hand crafted cider. Lots of place for hanging outside. Fire pits and farm. You can bring your own food or try the food trucks

BMC knows how to make tasty ciders! Cozy atmosphere especially in the winter but a great year round spot to visit. Would be great if it was a little bigger indoors as they are so good. But their outdoor area is nice too.

Unique experience!! We went from Puerto Rico on vacation to enjoy several states in October 2023. Along the way, we found this place with a family atmosphere, good cider, seafood food from a food truck, it was exquisite... Variety of citron and good vibes?? We will return , recommended!!!??

Super comfy fall environment that brings the best cider and views of the jersey autumn atmosphere to views. Was the perfect fall spot for me and my girlfriend to spend our afternoon and the food truck has amazing food for you to eat if you get hungry. The merch they have on sale was super cool and the people were the nicest on Earth. Highly recommend 10/10

Looking for a great autumn day with your friends (who are 21 and older)? Then Burnt Mills is your place. But get there at (or before) opening. The good parking fills up quickly here and the earlier you arrive, the better choices of places to stake out for the afternoon. Of course, it is weather dependent, even though you can sit and drink outside, the real ambiance is the lawn. They have chairs, fire pits, lawn games and more. It is a really family friendly place, but the highlight is all of the different ciders you can try. My friends love getting the same flights and drinking them together for reviews. Make sure to bring your snacks and own comforts and enjoy this treasure in the hills of Chester, NJ. On weekends they usually have a food truck if you don't wanna bring your own eats. And if you really like a cider, you can buy a can or a growler and bring it home with you.

My wife, daughter, and I recently had two disparate experiences at Burnt Mills Cider in Bedminster, Somerset County. Our first trip was enjoyable, encouraging us to plan another visit. As residents of Somerset County, we wanted to support our local businesses. We left home in Montgomery Township around 5:15 PM on a workday this time, driving north for an hour to reach the cidery around 6:15 PM. Our goal? To sip cider and munch on goodies from the Veganish food truck. But, as life often reminds us, things don't always go according to plan. Upon arrival, we faced our first challenge: a packed, dimly lit, unpaved, and uneven parking area. It took a lot of work to navigate the potholes and bumps in the parking lot to find parking. We found a parking spot near the entrance, far from the tap room. Armed with our iPhones as torches, we reached the taproom. We got to the taproom and realised there was no food truck. I understand this isn't Burnt Mills Cidery's fault, but they must work with reliable food truck vendors. We thought about ordering delivery from one of the nearby restaurants, but we expected it would be at least a 30-minute wait, and we were hungry. Inside, the small tap room was packed. We could hardly hear ourselves discussing what to do next. We had just driven almost an hour, and based on how filled the small tap room looked, we expected a poor experience. We did not relish the experience of standing around drinking while shouting over the din. The outdoor space was available. It was cold outside, even with winter coats. Sitting outside drinking cider while inhaling smoke from a firepit was not the experience we wanted. Inside, the tiny taproom was buzzing with people, making it hard to think, let alone chat. Faced with the prospect of a less-than-appealing experience, we made a call. Instead of braving the crowded space or the cold outdoors next to a smoky firepit, we decided to head to Flounder Brewing, grabbing pizza en route. It was a great decision - Flounder's spacious taproom and heated outdoor area offered a comfortable and relaxing evening. But we weren't ready to give up on Burnt Mills Cider yet! Determined to give the cidery a chance, we planned a daytime visit. We pre-ordered pizza from Bedminster Pizza this time and arrived early on a Saturday. What a difference! The welcoming staff clustered behind the small taproom. As we ate pizza, we explored a variety of cider flavours. My wife and daughter each enjoyed a flight: my daughter's included Fall Spice, Blackcurrant, Cider Donut, and The Hunt, while my wife's featured Fall Spice, Jersey Peach, Cider Donut, and The Hunt. My picks? I enjoyed half pours of the "Semi-Dry" and "Hops." I was disappointed that the "Sparkling Dry" was, so I had a half-pour of Blackcurrant. My daughter was delighted by the "Cider Donut" cider, which she said tasted like cider doughnuts. The jam-like qualities of the Black Currant were a shared favourite. We ended our visit just as the crowd began to get larger, bringing home cans of "Semi-Dry," "Hops," and "Black Currant." My problem with Burnt Mills Cider is that the tap room needs to be bigger to accommodate the number of people arriving in the cars that fill the large parking area. To a first-time visitor, the parking area suggests a large tap room. Once the tap room gets packed, ordering cider becomes problematic. The recipe for a good experience is to visit on the weekend, arrive as close to opening as possible, and pre-order your food for delivery or pickup.

Came here on a brisk fall evening with some friends. We each got a flight of ciders. I'm not going to lie, I don't remember the names of any of the ciders I tried, but they were all delicious. Would love to come back

Visited Burnt Mills Cider on a Fall Saturday afternoon. The cidery is casual, laid back and inviting. My friend and I did two cider flights and all the ciders were honestly enjoyable but a few stood out: Cider Donut, Jersey Peach, and Jersey Blue stood were our favorites! The cider donut cider is sweet and cinnamon-y, just like the donut! (We even bought a 4-pack of the Cider Donut to go!) The tasting room has a relaxed, rustic vibe but fills up quickly during fall months. There's plenty of tables and space outdoors with firepits which are pretty warm for the colder days! Family and pet friendly. Recommend bringing a picnic blanket for when it's crowded because there is lots of lawn space. We had a great time sampling the entire range of well-crafted ciders. Highly recommend!

Their seasonal cinnamon flavor is something I will never forget it was so so good. We stopped by coming from a pumpkin patch and came across their band night with a food truck and tried a flight. All the cider was good but that one will haunt me because I should have bought a case.

Nice place. Small inside. Made for hanging out outside. No food, but usually a food truck. Ciders were tasty but I can't have too many or it upsets my stomach. Too much acidity for me.

Beautiful grounds and a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon. I went with the flight and got to try some delicious fall ciders. They are very reasonably priced. The best part is they allow dogs and you can bring your own food. They only had one food truck and the prices were expensive and not many options. I can't wait to come back!
