Grill 36 is the perfect place to fulfill that Mediterranean craving you have. The place is owned and operated by a very nice Egyptian man. So all there food has an Egyptian flair. IT'S DELICIOUS! Change is good, and it's time to try something new. Go to Grill 36, its a great place to eat, and it's BYOB. ?Kid-friendliness: There are equipped with high chairs and are very kid friendly with a kids menu.

On the way home from the Belford Ferry, we decided to stop at Grill36, a little spot right off of route 36. What a wonderful surprise! The decor is cute and comfortable, the service beyond friendly (thank you Sean and Phil), and the food delicious. The mixed appetizer platter was enjoyed by all, particularly the falafel. Our skewered chicken and lamb and gyros were all super tasty. To top it off, we had an amazing dessert of spun pastry and ricotta- Kunafa. It was everyone’s favorite and quite unique. But make sure to order it early in your meal because it’s made fresh and takes some time.

Grill 36 consistently delivers great service and food. They go above and beyond to hand you a great experience with their kindness and delicious food. Grateful for a restaurant that cares to set the bar high and never let it fall.

The dining area was clean and comfortable and visually appealing. Don’t forget to look at the Egyptian mural on the back wall. The waiter was friendly and competent. The food was perfectly delicious. I would definitely eat there again.

As frequent visitors of Middle Eastern restaurants in Paterson, we were hoping to find a place closer to home with a similar quality. Unfortunately this place didn't meet those expectations. The lentil soup was bland. The yellow rice was not yellow. It was basic white rice with some seasoning making it a pale brown color. The lamb gyro seemed to be lamb chopmeat with seasonings chopped into smaller pieces. Gyro meat cut from a skewer is by far a much better tasting meat. The chicken gyro was covered in seasonings and had a good flavor but again it was chunks of cubed chicken, not cut from a skewer. The falafel was fresh and tasty. The food was okay but if you're looking for authentic Arabic food take the trip to Paterson instead.

Stopped in for the very 1st time today after passing it numerous times. So glad we stopped! Food was great, as was the service. Falafel was done right. We'll be back.

I can’t believe I’ve been down here 5 years and haven’t ate here before. I’ve been so disappointed with the food scene here in the Middletown area when it comes to cultural foods. I moved down here from Jersey City and am spoiled when it comes to good food. This place is awesome. The gyros are the best I’ve had anywhere and the rest of the menu is just as good. Thanks for the refreshment of being excited to order food again. I’ve never called a place to compliment their food before but I wasn’t even done the first meal and picked up the phone just to let them know how good it was!!!

Grill 36 is the absolute best food in town. The food is always so fresh and so full of flavor and the portions are great for your money. Some must try items are the Kofta and the spicy hummus!

If youre looking for REAL Mediterranean food then this is the place. Most importantly, not only is the food absolutely AMAZING, but so is the management and staff. A true family, down-to-earth, caring vibe. I would recommend Grill 36 to every and any person looking for a spectacular meal. Try the homemade rice pudding ?? it is to die for !! 10 STARS !!

My friends and I tried this restaurant and it was awful.I ordered the falafel balls which were hard as bricks no taste very dry. I also order to share the hummus mixed platter. Grape leaves very soggy and too much vinegar and tangy flavor. The falafel also hard fried too much awful taste. Babaganush was runny and not great tasting. We were extremely disappointed and won't be returning.

I'd give 6 stars if I could! First timer here, and the food was so good that I didn't get a chance to snap a photo. I highly recommend the Lentil soup. A puree with potatoes, tomato, carrot, celery, onion, cumin... warm spice and a flavor and texture I could do on a daily! Falafel and hummus I tried and thoroughly enjoyed. I plan to return within the month. Sean is beyond a gracious host. Come and meet him and see for yourselves.

This is one of my favorite places to get takeout from in the area. Super friendly staff and delicious food. I love their jalapeño poppers, and I regularly either get the lamb gyro pita or the lamb gyro salad.
