Rotten and moldy food.I’ve been going here for years now. They recently changed their empanadas and they are different but not bad. Today I bought garbanzo empanadas and was surprised that they tasted disgusting. When I went for another bite and the smell was outrageous I opened the empanada up and it was moldy and rotten. I’m so disappointed and disgusted.How long have these been out this is not ok, it’s no safe. Beware.When I went back in it was like it was nothing as if it had happened before. Not even surprised, that’s concerning.

Our friends joined us her for an afternoon snack and coffee break. My husband and I split two empanadas, the Cuban and the guava. They were the perfect size for an afternoon snack. My cafe con leche was excellent.

This is a great little establishment that is always bustling with activity. The Cuban owner is very friendly and the desserts and breads are amazing. Every time I am in the area, I visit the shop.

Unfortunately today was not a good order I ordered cafe con leche y condesado it was cold the Cuban sandwich was not flavorful on old rubbish Cuban bread and the ham and cheese toast was not toasted to crisp the cheese wasn’t even melted and the pastel de guava was old dissatisfied the male who tended to me was rude but I mostly care about the food being on point which it wasn’t turns out the male who tended to me was so busy on his phone that he only charged my card the pastel I only found this out cause they called me regarding the payment at the time I tho they where calling to apologize for the bad food and service but since they called me regarding the payment I proceeded to explain to the lady about how bad my order was it seems if it wasn’t important what I thought just that the payment was made I went later on to make the payment and asked to speak to the manager the girl who took the payment said there was no manager he left. How convenient

My favorite place to go to for some mid day empanadas was Sweets and Cortaditos. My favorites were the cheese empanadas with their flakey pastry dough and lots of cheese. What the empanadas at S&C have turned into is a complete disappointment. These are the empanadas my husband came home with today, the cheese empanadas had run out and so we got chicken. The seasoning was awful, the dough is not deep fried as an empanada is traditionally known for, and it was overall bad. I took one bite and tossed to the trash. Hopefully they will return back to the original way of making empanadas because these are just awful.

I love this place so much. The service is amazing, the atmosphere is inviting—but the empanadas changed and now I don’t think I can no longer to go this place. You guys lost customers in me and my friends since changing from fried empanadas to microwaved ones….

This was me and my friends’ go to stop for empanadas!! We would come here every sunday for lunch, but sadly they got rid of the fried ones and now baked and not nearly as good as the old ones :((( please bring back the old empanadas, we would look forward to those every week!!!
