Food is excellent however hostess always seems to be in a rush and/or confused. Last time she had given our table away after we had been told our seats were ready. Great chicken, though.

Took a daytrip to Belmar and decided to check out Anchor Tavern. The bartender Lindsey was friendly and accommodating. She recommended the wings which were cooked perfectly with their house bbq. 10/10! Manager Emerald made me feel welcomed and was very pleasant to talk to. Great service, great atmosphere. I imagine the Anchor is the place to be in the summer time. Check it out!

This restaurant serves American food. I liked the cheddar cheeseburger, and the brownie a la mode.

Frequent here often but not sure we'll be back after today. We tried accessing during the St. Patty's Parade with our 1 year old grandson and while paying the $10 cover were told we weren't allowed access because the baby was not 21. This is the most absurd thing I've heard from a restaurant/bar regardless of the event that was taken place. Since when is a child not allowed entry to an establishment with their family! Stop making up rules that don't exist because they create a negative a long term affect on the establishment!

Great place to eat at. Good happy hour. You can sit inside or outside (when the weather warms up). Service was great.

Do not trust their Gluten free menu...if you have gluten issues you know what I went through the days to follow. This could be an even more serious issue for someone with other intolerance or medical restructions.... And I specified twice to be from GF menu. If you have a gf menu, your patrons are trusting your establishment that's what it is.

Our server was excellent as was the food. Served piping hot! The coconut shrimp app was great and the honey ginger salmon over coconut rice... The BEST! This place is a keeper!

Braving the whipping winds, cold temps and rain going sideways as quoted by Ollie Williams, we stopped in to this wonderful gem. Upon entering this fine establishment the cozy atmosphere warmed us to the core. Friendly staff were also nearby to chat up and talk life.To take nourishment we ordered the cowboy sliders. Perfect flavor of bbq sauce, Mac and cheese and bacon on great patties. Each bite made me feel more and more like I was becoming Butch Cassidy and I was looking across the table at the Sundance kid. Highly suggest ordering this tasty chow, just be aware afterwards you may be putting on your stirrups to mosey on out! What do you call a pig that gets injured stretching? Pulled pork…. The flavor was smoky and the bun was toasted to perfection. Portion size was large and filling. Fries were plentiful on the side.Pork tacos and sweet potato fries. The tortilla was fresh and the pico delicious. The pork had great seasoning and juicyness in the cook. Definitely try it and enjoy your meal.Good place with great staff. Must visit!

Food is only okay, but the bar service was very good, and the draft beer was very cold.

Service and Ambiance were amazing, went there today. Got a chicken wrap, everything seemed to be good. however later on in the day, (today) I started feeling a little under the weather. My stomach was cramping, hurting and gradually grew worse over time. I tried showering, massaging my stomach, drinking water, drinking ginger ale, which seemed to calm it. I tried to recall everything that I did within the past few days leading up to today that possibly could've made me feel this way. But I haven't felt anything like this until today. I'm not sure if it was by chance, or by the food being not properly cooked and cared for. which makes me think if it was possible that E Coli or Salmonella could've been passed through the food or utensils. I am experiencing SEVERE stomach pain, extreme and frequent bathroom use, hot flashes, feeling like I could throw up, loss of appetite, and occasional dizziness or headache. Wouldn't recommend unless this place teaches it's staff how to properly care for and handle food when prepping, cooking, and serving.
