Last night, I died and went to heaven!! Brandl's was delicious. I had the filet mignon in their special charcoal oven. The seasonings formed a thick delicious crust that I've never had before in any restaurant. I also had the sweet potato fries with Saffron seasoning. The fries were freshly made, sweet and so amazing! I feel like I'm doing an infomercial raving about this place. It's so rare to find a place with a good vibe and fresh food. Just so you know, you have to try the desserts. I had the vanilla soufflé and it rocked my world. I am going back for a burger on Tuesday night.. I rarely comment about how the restaurant is decorated, but this place was so unique. The staff were great. It was like they were happy to be there and enjoying what they do. when I asked about the staff they indicated most of staff been there for a very, very long time that means a lot.

The restaurant was very pretty, and we had a great table. However, we soon realized that there was only one waiter for the entire restaurant on a Saturday night. The Host had to take our order, and the runners bought our food. The waiter never came back to the table once to see how our meal was, or if we wanted salt or pepper, or anything. We most likely will not be back.

Everything was delicious. The freshest ingredients, the Lazy Lobster was out of the world. The white chocolate raspberry soufflé to die for. the weight staff was very helpful with the menu very considerate of a gluten-free diner. We will return.

We had a wonderful meal at Brandl's the other evening. Crispy Cod with Carrot Lime Broth. The fish was moist and tender and the sauce complemented the fish perfectly. It had subtle notes of sweetness from the carrot and a hint of tartness from the lime. A delicious entree that I hope they'll repeat again.

We never even sat down, but need to say thank you so much to Paul the incredibly rude host. We only attempted to go because someone gave us gift card. Which we have had for a year, we hate going there because of the consistently poor service by the mean host, (thats what people call you by the way, the mean host) Paul that was your last chance to be rude to us.. your final strike. Threw the gift card away. Thank you again we had an excellent meal with excellent service from two teen age boys at Rajin Cajin. You should go there and see what polite good service looks like. They didn't do anything extraordinary they were just kind and friendly. I am really curious why are you are so consistently rude and abrupt It baffles me. How Brandl stays in business with you as the face of this establishment is beyond me. Never coming back.

Supremely disappointed. Made Valentine’s Day reservations well in advance for 645pm. Arrived at 640 and was told by the rude host that it was going to be a 45-60 minute wait. Non apologetic, just very matter of fact.This is a byo restaurant with no bar. In the middle of Belmar were nowhere else to go and nothing to do in the middle of winter.It’s also the busiest restaurant night of the year and not many other options available.We were looking forward to dining here and are very disappointedVery mismanaged and overbooked. Staff needs training on how to host and owner needs to realize too many poor reviews and miss handling of the reservations , and overbooking are not good for business. They’ve been in business long enough to know better. They should be ashamed of themselves.As we sit here now at 10th ave burrito drinking delicious Marguerita’s celebrating Valentine’s Day.

We had an 8pm reservation showed up at 7:45pm we're not sat for our reservation until 9:30pm food was alright but not worth starving for over an hour. Seems like a very disorganized place. They can't even handle the reservations they accept. The place is small and they obviously over book to the point their reservations were leaving due to the wait.

This is the second time we've been to Brandl. Both times there was an extended wait on our reservation time. 745 reservation and we weren't seated until 820. Waiting in the cold area outside the main restaurant with several other couples was less than ideal. The service wasn't stellar either. I think they just try to seat too many tables with not enough staff to accommodate it. The food was very good and priced appropriately. It's a shame about the other issues because they are what will be keeping us from returning.

We made a 6:45pm reservation for Valentine's Day. Arrive at 6:40pm, wait 5 minutes, then was told by a very rude host our table might be ready in 30-40 minutes. When I said I had a reservation, the host smugly pointed to the 10-12 people waiting outside and said “so do all of those people, it's a busy night”. Yes, that's why I made a RESERVATION! The guy was so rude and snippy, we decided to just go home. What's the point of having a reservation system if you still have to wait 40 minutes to sit down when you arrive? We will not be going back.

Cannot rate the food as we arrived for our 6:45 reservation 5 minutes early only to be told by the non apologetic host that the wait for our table would be 45-60 minutes. This was on Valentine's Day. This restaurant is a byo that does not have a bar where we could have waited while having a cocktail. Shore town in the middle of winter with not a lot of other options. We ultimately found another option elsewhere and did not wait. Extremely disappointed that they obviously overbooked,not respecting anyone else's time or the reservation system that they clearly do not honor. The owner of this restaurant should be ashamed of himself.

Had a 630 Valentine's Day reservation, arrived on time , to be told by the pompous and arrogant Maitre'D that there would be a 45 minute wait for a table after the 7 other parties in front of us ate seated. There was no apologetic response, and the attitude was too bad, that's how it is. We left and went somewhere else never ordered a thing. Service from host was the worst I have ever seen.

I never like when a owner/manager just comments on the good reviews...Why not the bad ones?! makes me not wanting to try this place!!. Sorry.

Overall a poor experience before we even had a chance to order the meal. Main server and host were rude when our party wanted to ask questions regarding specials. We ended up leaving , never ordered dinner.
