Great food, although a bit pricey for everyday lunch. Recommended: grilled squid, coconut juice.

Worst sisig I've ever had and I'm not even a picky eater. All you can taste was the bitterness of bean sprouts, and why did they even put bean sprouts?!

The food is excellent and very well executed. Service was prompt, polite and attentive. The place is clean and open. And prices were reasonable. My issue was the takeout/prepackaged siopao; we were told it was top-notch and full of filling. Well, it was the opposite - almost all dough. And whatever little pork asado filling in there was fatty. That ruined the integrity and credibility for me. Don't get their siopao unless you just want bread.

Fishball is too pricey for the amount of almost $10 given that there were only a number of pieces served; pancit malabon is very yummy and the veggie topping is crunchy but sisig has bean sprout which was not authentic at all giving it a very different taste which was not good. I think they purposefully put the bean sprout as the base to make it look full but it ruin the taste of this dish. Won’t order sisig anymore.

Ive been missing their grilled liempo and so we revisited this July and had a wonderful lunch!it wasnt too busy on an early Sunday but there was a good amount of people ahead of us already. Service was good and music played were nice! Ambiance is dark though, whereas i prefer places that have more natural light. We got their grilled liempo (of course!), shrimp sinigang and grilled bangus. Everything complimented each other - the savoriness of the pork and the warm and sour soup of the sinigang. The fish was nicely cooked and we loved the veggie toppings. We were so full but still decided to get the halo-halo anyway haha Ive had better halohalo though; theirs was little ube ice cream and the ice is not fine. Its pieces of ice that you have to crunch with your teeth rather than that melt in your mouth shaved ice so we’ll probably skip that next time. Overall its one hearty meal over here.

Gigi!!

Authentic, delicious Filipino food. Been goingg here for a while now and we've never had a problem. However, at our time there the front door was closed and we had to walk through an alleyway to get to the back, while it was raining. Fortunately, the staff were able to make up for it and gave us free dessert. ??

I love this place! The owner is awesome! The food is the best! I can say this is one of the best Filipino restaurants in Bergen county if you are looking for Filipino dishes! Name it and they have it! Don’t miss to come and dine there when you visit Bergenfield! The city with almost 50% Filipinos including its Mayor! It safe to go there and parking is not a problem! Like Jersey Cityc Bamboo Grill is near to all Filipino groceries, they have 5 of them , including the balikbayan boxes store! So going to Bamboo grill is worth your day! You dine and shop , remittance, balikbayan boxes and also movies too!

We ordered a Filipino take out feast and were super impressed with their food! Succulent, decadent lechon kawali and crispy pata, complemented by acidic, zingy sinigang and rice. So good!Service was very friendly and they even gave us sago't gulaman while we waited. Thank you and we'll be back!

This Bamboo Grill is in Bergenfield in New Jersey. It is located on the second floor of a building ( in the back of a parking lot). It used to be a cozy restaurant located on the front with homely tables and chairs , but now it is a restaurant that looks like a ballroom. I didn't really like the ambience of this now. When you enter the place loud music is what awaits you and a huge television playing from you tube. It just kills the vibe. It is also overpriced. I ordered pancit mal a on to take out , it costs $ 15.95 , and the taste is not fresh. I also ordered pancit palabok, costs 15.95 also , bland in taste and not savory at all. I suggest save your hard earned cash , there is a restaurant just opposite the road called Casa Manila which is affordable and for me tastes a lot better " masarap pa dito" and its turo turo ( different Filipino dishes already freshly cooked and delicious!) . There is also another Filipino restaurant just around the corner in front of the main road which is also serving delicious turo- turo style ( you can eat inside too). These 2 places are affordable in prices , for example the beef pares is like $7.50, pancit malabon $7.50, also available are small, medium and large food containers whatever you choose.

I have been here several dozen times since we moved to Bergen County in 1994. The place is frequented by fellow Pinoys. I see the occasional "not Pinoy customers" . So if you are that "not Pinoy" tell the owner Joe what you like. Guaranteed he will find the right combination.

Extremely Overpriced. Halo halo is all ice. Didn't even have any ube. Everything is a ripoff. Horrible portions for the price. No wonder tropical hut is opening new locations everywhere.
