Asked for tamarind sauce on the side & got hot sauce inside. Asked for fried rice with my order & it was missing.

I drove a half hour to try this place. The service was excellent. I paid $15 for a shrimp roti. The portion size was crazy. I have never gotten a roti with so little inside. It tasted ok but I would not go back because of the portion size.

I’ve never been more disappointed with my Guyanese food ??‍♀️On my way to get my hair done I saw a place that says GT dealsImmediately I got excited and also I was very hungrySo after my hair appointment I took a lovely walk back thereI got there no one responded to my call and also the little bell I kept on ringingIt literally took someone almost 20 minutes to attend to meAn older woman came out and she wasn’t even pleasant enough to respond to my greeting of helloHowever I over looked itI proceed to order my food which wasFried rice with baked chickenI waited about 15 minutes for my foodI didn’t think anything of it maybe they had to prepare itHowever when my food came out I immediately inspected it and I noticed the rice looked extra swollen and I said to myself maybe looks can be deceivingI also made a purchase of chicken foot and plantain chipsImmediately began to snack on the chips and they were both stale and tastelessI disregarded it given the fact not everyone knows to make these snacks to my likingHowever I went to front to eat the meal that I purchased and it wasn’t even what I had orderedIt was a mixture of fried chicken and maybe pot roast chicken ??‍♀️Who knowsI still didn’t think of anythingThe chicken was very stiff and saltyDue to the fact I was very hungry I really tried to eat it but it didn’t taste goodI went back to log a complaintThe woman took my food and I tried to explain my disappointmentHowever I was really over it so I leftI hate to be this person to leave a negative review for my fellow Guyanese establishment but they need to do better with their food and customer serviceMy hard earned money went down the drain for no reason and I am still hungryNext time I will do a tic toc and let it go viral so they can get their act togetherAgain I am extremely disappointed

Great food. Try the Doubles which are unbelievable, roti skin with curry (Curry Mango is something you never see anywhere) and get the tamarind based sauce. They have a large selections of unique sodas. The mother and daughter at the store were friendly. This place is better for take out or smaller group if dining in.Kid-friendliness: The daughter asked my son about his age and chatted with him so they are caring towards children.

I usually order a shrimp or goat Roti, doubles, and a Red Solo. This food is always great, and the service is always pleasant. If you're looking for a taste of home, or want to try something new, I'd definitely recommend them. A word of caution, though: if you've got a low spice tolerance, ask for the pepper on the side.

I recently came here because I didn't feel like taking the drive to orange nj or over the bridge to ny. I have been coming here for years and the food was always just okay. This time I was very disappointed. I ordered three doubles, one chicken roti and two sides of Channa and potatoes. I knew something was off when I was not greeted by "Patrick " ( the guy who usually takes your order over the phone and he also runs the front desk). The doubles were dry and the Channa was bland, the side of Channa was bland and needed more salt pepper garlic etc. the roti skin was decent but the curry was , the chicken was over cooked and tasteless, after the second piece of chicken I spit it out and could not finish my meal. I'm not sure what's going on with this roti spot but I'll just take the drive elsewhere next time I need some roti or doubles.

So yesterday I drove for 45 minutes to get there - website says they're "open." When I got there, place was dark and closed! No sign on the door and no "closed" message on business line. With traffic, was a two hour waste of time....not good.

Main manager is not there recently. Food is still good but incredibly slow service with no AC in the store if you are picking up ( waiting 15 minutes today for an order placed 30 minutes prior).

I first gave this place good reviews. I need to update. They got real cheap. I am a guyanese from queens so I know what should be expected. I received a ton of white rice and no meat with my chicken curry. All bones and no gravy. What the hell. Being one of the few west indian take out in the area. Its embarrassing that you call yourself GT deli. I am GT and would never cheat people like that. I recommend going sonewhere else. So disappointed.

I am West Indian and from the Caribbean and this was the worst curry chicken I ever ate. No seasoning and they didn’t wash the meat. The chicken was boiled in curry water and was burnt. Only Americans who never had good West Indian food will say it was delicious.
