We love to go out. Last night we visited this excellent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We spent a beautiful time there with excellent dishes and a professional team and a talented cook. We added this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will no doubt come back very soon. We deeply recommend.

I especially love the potato pancake appetizer I love the open face stake platter. The lobster is great the servers are good. The afternoon bar tender is great makes great drinks.

Cute decor, but dark and with a bit of a musty smell and with an unfortunate hint of cigarette smoke when we first walked in. The waitress was very sweet and helpful, but the service was very slow. We waited about 40 minutes for our meal, albeit we did get one of the big seafood platters that I'm sure took a long time to cook. Everyone seemed fairly pleased with what they had to eat. I had the stuffed flounder, the crab stuffing was very flavorful but the flounder was a little bland. The portions were large and a lot of heavy things but pretty reasonably priced pub style Italian place.

This is a great steakhouse, everything I have had here is always fresh and absolutely delicious! They have different events which we have been to such as Monday is always Jam Night. It's cool because local musicians come to play and sing, they also call it Open Mic. It's also Italian night..YUM! Tuesday is the Saloon Steak special....to die for! It's one of my favorites They said there are other nights they have specials too but don't remember them all. Lol Friday they said is Karaoke (not my gig), but I have been to the Sat night bands. The bands are local and are pretty good some are great! The service has been great every time we have been there and the drinks are some of the best we've had. They said the margarita mix is made fresh on site and they sure taste that way. Delicious! His place is family owned and operated and has been in Bergenfield over 60 yrs! The decore is a collection over time and every time we go we discover something we didn't see last time. OH, and ask the staff about some of their stories (some of their guests), they are pretty neat.

Food is delicious, service is friendly. A great place to sit and chat because you're not rushed through your meal. Very comfortable.
Had dinner there the other night and as usual it was good. Good food good service, had the ribs and crab cake combo ad both where very tasty. Will keep going back to one of my hometown favorites

I was in here last night, never been so disrespected ever in my life. So it started out as me and 2 friends so we sat at the bar, after about an hour it turned into 8 of us so we decided to move to a table. It was around 1030 at night. As we moved to a table a VERY rude woman came up to us named Terry, said we were not aloud to sit at a table?! It was karaoke night and tables were open. Anyways, I have been here multiple times and never been disrespected by this woman ever! Not sure if she is new or just had a bad day. However, if u want to have a good time beware of this bar!! Rude staff!!

We live in the area but had never tried this place. Went last night with my husband, brother and best friend and had our night ruined by a nasty older blonde woman working there, who I thought was a waitress but I’ve since heard is the OWNER. She seemed miserable from the moment we walked in, got visibly angry when we asked her for a table rather than sitting at the bar, and then actually came to our table and yelled at my husband for leaning against the wall?!? Didn’t ask him or any of us if we needed anything, but scolded him like a child— we were the youngest people there by about 40 years but still. I’ve never been in a situation where I was enjoying myself at a bar but had to leave because of an employees behavior. So creepy, strange and disappointing.

Had the most negative experience with a surly, nasty waitress here tonight. From the moment we walked in and asked her for a table, she made us feel unwelcome and made it clear she was in a bad mood. She replied "what are you here for? The band or WHAT." We said the band, and to drink and eat and she audibly said UGH, rolled her eyes and huffed away?! We got seated and ordered drinks from another waitress. Then the original older waitress came back and scolded my husband telling him not to lean against the wall??? Never in my LIFE! We would have stayed for a couple hours and drank and ate a lot more because we loved the band, but we left after this. It was really uncomfortable and a shame considering we were excited about trying this place and it's really cute inside.

Went there last Friday, 11/16. Nothing special. Waitress Lauren, very nice and helpful. Drinks were brought out in a pint glass. Still, not very potent. We had a large party, 10, so dividing the check was necessary. Unfortunately, they charged my card 3 times. Checked my account, sure enough it was 3 times what I authorized. Called, spoke to Linda, very apologetic. Assured me would be taken care of. After a few calls, all was good. Thank you Linda. Food
