On impulse we stopped for a quick lunch while driving through town. Initially we wanted beef Pattie's but they were sold out at noon. So we opted for a meal. The menu is on a postcard. They have a nice selection however there were no prices listed on the postcard. We had j*** chicken with rice and peas with plantains and oxtail with rice and peas with cabbage and plantains. The food was well seasoned. They offer medium and large sizes as your choices. The medium was plenty for two people. I suggest you ask for the price before you order. It was a bit pricey for lunch. There is indoor seating and street parking which is scarce.

The food served at this restaurant is excellent and well presented. The staff and management is friendly and always eager to please their patrons.

So I stumbled upon this spot and soooo glad I did. I ordered the Curry goat....OMG. it is the best Jamaican food I have outside my house in a long time. Whoever is doing the cooking back there is putting their foot in it. I will be back. Oh and btw they have Llyod Carrot cake. Anybody from the BX and know about Llyod Carrot cake you know just what I am saying

I loved the Mac&Cheese and the Callaloo. Then I tried the Akee & Saltfish with cabbage. I loved that too. Yesterday I ordered the J*** Chicken. Today I ordered the J*** Chicken & Festival with Callaloo and Mac&Cheese. I'm afraid I'm going to need a 12 step program to cure my Tafari Restaurant addiction. The food is amazingly delicious. Definitely 5 stars!

The food from here was real good. The rice and peas was on point. The J*** chicken was not super spicy, but had a nice amount of kick to it. The festival was just perfect, crispy and flavorful, they way I used to get it in Brooklyn. I got a side of steamed veggies, cause I just love how good they taste by themselves.

Ordered the oxtail dish , it was a bit pricey for the amount of rice and oxtail. The food was delicious but definitely not worth $22 for it. Not sure if I'd order from here again due to pricing but definitely worth a try.

Amazing! So delicious perfectly cooked j*** and fried chicken it was so tender! I stopped mid meal to write this review because it was that good! Great portion size and totally worth the wait. Will definitely be returning and DEFINITELY going to recommend to friends. Try it, you won't be disappointed

Ok ok....now "I see some bad reviews so I'll give you mine I did order some food via Door Dash - when I got my food it was the wrong order. I wanted curry goat, mac & cheese and plantain I I got Oxtail and plenty of rice I really don't like rice I called the restaurant and I spoke to Sandy -Sandy was very nice Sandy was wonderful Sandy said to come the next day and she would give me the curry goat with the roti and I also got got the macaroni and cheese anyhow she's gave me her me her personal number and I called her went to get the food. and boy I tell you that goat that I got was delicious!! Was nice tasty I put my own pepper sauce can I make it so I did order some additional we got it some beef patty for my wife along with dessert and some of the authentic Jamaican drinks. Now granted I'm a Trini so my seasoning is different but if you want some good food nice and hotAnd tasty go here and my friend my new friend Sandy she's a GEM she made the whole experience much better all I need is some hot sauce and they good to go and I make it!

Savory, spiced, hearty Jamacian food. Reverse order, the pineapple coconut cake was moist, light, fluffy, and just the perfect balance of sweet and tropical flavors. I would come back for the cake alone. Curry goat had some tough pieces but the flavor was robust. Plantains were lightly baked? I loved how not oily it was, unlike some other places. J*** chicken was a solid tender, juicy, entree. Food was so good, I ate before taking a proper photo. Expect the timing of this delivery to take a while... But worth the wait. Just plan accordingly.

Have Door Dashed/picked up from this Resturant a couple have times. Service is amazing, lady who answers the phone I believe maybe the owner is a gem. Very considerate, accommodating, welcoming and nurturing vibes. Food speaks for itself, seasoned fresh made with love. Called in wasn't sure about my order, gave me recommendations went above and beyond and hooked up my order. 10/10 would definitely recommend! If you haven't been yet YOU MUST!!!#SupportYourLocalBlackBussiness

OMG ! So amazing ! The woman who answered ( who I believe is the the new manager / owner ) was so sweet over the phone and very accommodating to my indecisiveness between the stew chicken and the curry goat. YUMM ! She let me get both as an entree with my mac and cheese , rice and peas and cabbage . Which by the way she immediately called me to let me know my order may take an extra 15 because she will be making fresh cabbage due to them running out . I mean great customer service with excellence food !

I have to say that the food and service here is amazing!! I am a very picky Jamaican and I can tell you I was not disappointed. Due to a technical issue with a food delivery service they incorrectly had the restaurant as being closed. I happened to call the restaurant directly to check and we found out it was an issue with the food delivery app and not their fault. I spoke to the owner who thanked my for bringing it to her attention and gave me a nice treat out of gratitude which I was not expecting. I am just so blown away with this place and their commitment to delivering a great customer experience. I would recommend them to anyone. Nice work Tropics please don't change the chef!!

Food is amazing. Had the oxtails with rice and beans. My friend had stew chicken which I tried some of and it was also so good. The server was welcoming and was super humble with a customer who was highly rude and inconsiderate of other clients along with the server. Definitely will be back.

went to this restaurant twice within a week, the first time I got a medium curry goat as well as a small j*** wings and plantain platter. Red flag number one ( I opened up my bag to check my food like I always do and noticed only 3 wings in the j*** platter) After bringing it to their attention, I was issued an apology and the man told me he was going to go put some more in there.. cool... that order was a total of $19 and some change. The second time I went there which happened to be today, I only ordered a medium curry goat with rice and a drink. That total was $18.... I'm not sure how that makes any sense..but I'm not one to argue so I paid for the food and I left. This is typical for Caribbean people, they'll have take advantage of/ rob people & that's cool...I recognize stuff like this & simply discontinue to support such businesses. The only reason I rated them a two star instead of one is because the food was halfway decent.

The food here is good but the delivery time sucks. The curry chicken taste great and the j*** chicken as well. Also try the chocolate cake and home made iced tea. All good choices. My bf and mom like the oxtails.
