Was looking for a good fish and chips spot. Wasn’t aware it’s an outside eating only stand up restaurant. Nice for a warmer day. Fish was a bit greasy and overcooked. Nice crisp on the fish but should’ve been pulled out a minute before. Fries were definitely overcooked. Definitely should add a little salt when fries are pulled out of the grease. Just crispy and tasteless. Someone in our group had the chicken and chips. Chicken apparently was fried in same grease as fish and tasted a bit fishy.

Horrible first time experience, we purchased two fish sandwiches with chips, both were cold and we had burnt bottom of the barrel fries. This is an example of restaurants stretching out inventory to save money, instead, they lost permanent business, I cant respect a business like this that doesnt put the customers experience first.

Bloody handsome! Best fish and chips in the states. My fiancé was born and raised in England so for her she has really high standards. She said this was the best fish and chips in the states she’s had! All she needed was some curry sauce and it would be spot on. As someone who has had proper fish and chips in England these were fantastic! The batter was perfect! Not to thick. Not to thin! Well done! Good luck on the new building. Can’t wait to come back!

I've driven by this place at least 1,000 times and I finally decided to stop and I'm very glad I did. Easily the best fish and chips I've had in the area, they even have irn bru.The only way to be more authentic is to offer Buckfast

Been several months between visits, so not sure if this is typical, but my food went to the trash after 2 bites. Inedible, soggy, grease soaked, gag inducers. The fish and the chips. Heat up the oil next time!

I don't get all the hype for this place... I got chicken basket with fries and it was terrible. The fries were so undercooked and the chicken was disgusting- shrively thin strips that were also not cooked to be crispy. They did make the place look nice but, not worth it unless maybe the fish is good.
Really great food. Sayreville Seniors keep ordering it for their parties.
