This place is great because the food is very good but it also has a dedicated vegetarian section, which can be rare with Thai food because of the use of fish sauce in many dishes. The only draw back to me is that plain white rice is extra with every dish and most are some form of curry so you should have them with rice. I definitely recommend!

So I've been here twice now, once with my 8 y/o daughter for daddy daughter date night and once with my wife for lunch, both experiences were fantastic. I don't recall what I ordered the first time, but my daughter has classic pad Thai. Both her and I thought it was delicious. My wife had Ma Muang Himapan and it was amazingly flavorful. Not spicy, but really robust flavor. I like spice, but medium is about right for me, not overpowering, but still dang spicy in my book. I had the red curry and it was great! I'm not sure about the bad reviews, I know everyone is different and sometimes the restaurant has a bad night, but so far I'm a fan! Give it a shot! Also, the food to me seemed a lot less Americanized than other thai restaurants I've eaten at, which is a huge plus in my book.

I was looking for Tom Kha Ga on a Tuesday evening, and this turned out to be trickier than I thought. Called and spoke to very nice man who confirmed I found it and also recommended the mango sticky rice. When picking up, encountered this friendly chef and then spoke to a lovely lady who rang me up. I met the owners. Business is down, they need more customers and they have been right there for 24years?My take out was simply delicious, my soup, spring rolls, chicken pad thai and mango that made me feel like I hit the jackpot. First time very happy, I'll be back very soon.

Love that they can do all levels of spice. DO TAKEOUT, not dine in. Every time I dine in I end up paying almost twice the amount and get nickeled and dimed for everything. (The ladies are very nice though).Love love love that they offer a Thai spiciness level - I couldn’t finish my meal for 4 days and cried into it (this is a good thing).Amazing curry and pad woon sen.

I tried Thai Ping and Boonton Thai years ago when I first came into town, and decided Boonton Thai was the more authentic experience. Years later, with Boonton Thai closed on a Monday, it was Thai Ping's second chance.Ambience: Much superior. Boonton Thai is more of a take-out place that happens to have a couple of tables, but really feels like a clustered diner. Thai Ping is really a restaurant through and through.Service: Boonton Thai wins this one. Service at Ping was slow. We would keep asking for things like a water refill and it took multiple waiters before we'd get it. Bill took a long time too. Lack of comprehension, forgetfulness, or just ignoring those tables that aren't specifically yours? Not good, and the star deduction happens here.Food: I'm gonna call it a draw. Each has its ups and downs. I thought Boonton Thai was more authentic, but that's mainly because it has a few dishes Thai Ping doesn't. I had the green curry this time and it was just fine. It may or may not be slightly Americanized - I can't judge that - but I wouldn't have a problem coming back here again.Verdict: On the fence. We shall see what I pick next time...

This is the best Thai food in all of north jersey but it is also the spiciest! The lady will warn you- heed her advice. Mild is not normal mild and medium is like 5 alarm for other places. All in all the best.Kid-friendliness: Yes my son cameDietary restrictions: Good for non dairy and gluten free as well as vegetarian

Truly authentic Thai served by wonderful people. Highly recommend going to sit down and enjoy the food or at least go into the shop to pick up your food so you can see and meet those that prepared it.My girlfriend and I enjoyed spicy curry, noodles, and thai iced teas (perfect for the spicy food)My review is to encourage you to try it for yourself, and also to thank the women that made our meal, so much more than a meal.

Outrageously priced. Ordered Tom Kagai, Entree, and Roti and it ended up being $46. Rice was NOT included and we were charged $2 for rice. When asked the cost of everything they couldn’t give us a straight answer and the numbers didn’t add up.

We decided to try our local Thai food today but it was disappointments after disappointments. Called and ordered two dishes, told us 45min to pick up. When I arrived, they asked if I ordered from another Thai place and then told me our order was given away to someone else after they realized I ordered from them. I waited for another 10mins for our food.My wife’s flat noodles were wet(soupy), it was suppose to be sautéed flat noodles. It was also very salty. I ordered Massamum tofu which I assumed was suppose to be mild bc they asked me how spicy do I want it, it was not spicy at all and the overall taste was mediocre.

We found you by google general search for ‘Thai food’. It was last Sunday night and most stores were closed. But yours was open. What a total delight with excellent ambiance! As soon as I took my first bite, I said “wow”! The selections were superb! And your hospitality was very kind and touching! It was my first time eating Thai food and I simply loved it! Bravissimo to you for your great service!!

For about 20 years I've been going to Thai Ping. Kim is the host/chef/server and Ong is the chef. The food here is always top notch. Seriously, everything! I go for so many dishes that it's hard to pick my favorite. I guess the Crispy Pineapple Duck or the Whole Fish Lard Preek would be up there in my choices. I highly recommend this place. P.S. I always have the dumpling soup, can't recall the name of it. And don't order anything hot. You'll regret it.

We ordered chicken pad thai, drunken noodles with beef, and an order of dumplings on Monday, 05/23. First they told us it would be ready within 30-40 minutes, so we went to the restaurant to pick up the order by the 40 minutes time frame they gave us. When we got to the restaurant, none of the staff had any notice about our order and scrambled for ten minutes convincing us other people's orders were ours. We waited as they made our order "again" and were charged $48 and change. By looking at the menu, we can see now that we were overcharged. We could've overlooked all of this if the food was at least edible! The chicken pad thai was over-spiced with tamarind or something and it was just terrible. The noodles for the drunken noodles didn't hold any sauce or flavoring to them and they were over-boiled stuck to each other. It was a horrible dinner experience and I will absolutely not be going back.

Love Thai Ping. Lots of great vegetarian options. I went there with my siblings and cousins, and they were impressed by the authenticity and flavor. Great atmosphere !

Decided to try out Thai Ping the other week and ordered over the phone for takeout. Simple order of Pad Thai, the Spicy Noodles (their Drunken Noodles), and the Thai Dumplings. We arrived and they had no idea we ordered and asked if we ordered somewhere else. So we had to wait while they threw our order together. We were in a bit of a rush, so I didn’t pay attention to the total cost, but they ended up over-charging us ~$15. That’s my bad for missing that, but also not something I expect from a 3 item order.Onto the food: I asked for medium spice on the noodles, but was told their noodles are incredibly spicy and they recommended the mild so I agreed. After tasting the noodles, there was no spice at all and a complete lack of taste in general. Noodles were correct consistency - 2/10My gf got the pad Thai and couldn’t eat it. It had an incredibly strong horse manure smell and tasting it wasn’t much better. I’ve had pad Thai countless times in my life, but it has never tasted or smelled like this. Not sure if it was tamarind or white pepper that sat too long? We ended up having to throw it out because the smell/taste combo was that bad. 0/10The thai dumplings were fine. Nothing notable. Probably a 4/10. Likely a 6/10 if they weren’t cold.Overall, I definitely don’t recommend Thai Ping. They messed up our order causing us to wait, over-charged by ~$15, provided completely unflavored food, as well as food so badly flavored it was inedible. Out of my $50 order (~$35 actual food, ~$15 over-charge), we lost about $30 on it since we could only eat the dumplings and my noodles.
