Went there today. The breakfast egg white omelet was cooked perfectly, and you get a huge portion of home fries. Coffee was good quality and strong. Waiter service was prompt and friendly. My friend got the roast beef club sandwich and it was huge. He needed a doggy bag for one half of it that he could not immediately eat. George is an excellent waiter, cooperative, quick and friendly. Diner was very clean, well lighted and full of customers, as most of them look like they were "repeat" customers. I have been to many diners in NJ but this is now, my number one choice. I am planning on being "a repeat customer" too.

Grouchy manager. Actually insulted me when I asked about something. Food was ok. However will never go back due to rudeness of manager. Maybe he was having a bad day but please don't take it out on your customers.

Overall not a great experience unfortunately. I ordered a Greek wrap for dinner. The wait time was pretty long for such a basic menu item and for how empty the place was. The wrap itself was not wrapped correctly as it wasn't overlapped at all on the ends meaning that it was impossible to pick up without the entire wrap opening up. I had to re-stuff and rewrap it myself. There were hard chicken bits inside the wrap which was a real turn off. The fries were cold and soggy when received. The decor is very try outdated, which is typical of so many great diners, however this is not one of those The staff was very nice and attentive which is why I gave 2/10 stars.

Spanakopita was one of my favorite dishes at the Rainbow diner.Spanakopita is a delicious savory Greek pie made of perfectly crispy layers of phyllo dough and a comforting filling of spinach and feta cheese. This was not the case today. It was underwhelming at best . I told the waiter it tastes off tonight. He didn't seem to care. I been a customer for over 25 years spending my hard earned money never again. I am as loyal as they come. The Mgr at the cash register didn't care either. Dissapointed with the response is so dissapointing.
